Marketplace Manager (Hybrid - 2 to 3 days onsite per week)
Overview:
The Online Marketplace Manager will curate, manage, and optimize the product catalog for our cannabis paraphernalia and accessories e-commerce platform, ensuring a high-quality, customer-focused shopping experience. This role involves collaborating with suppliers, ensuring compliance with site requirements, and enhancing the customer shopping experience through strategic merchandising and data-driven insights. The ideal candidate is passionate about the cannabis industry, detail-oriented, and skilled in e-commerce merchandising.
The impact you'll make:

Strategic Merchandising:
- Lead the development and execution of holistic e-commerce merchandising strategies aligned with overall business goals, including seasonal assortment planning, category management, and product positioning.
- Maintain vendor relationships, including revenue sharing agreements, markdown limits and cadences, inventory/stock levels and sell-through expectations.
- Analyze sales data, customer feedback, and industry trends to optimize product assortment, pricing strategies, and promotional campaigns.

Product Listing Optimization:
- Oversee the creation and maintenance of accurate, compelling product listings on the e-commerce platform, including detailed descriptions, high-quality images, and relevant attributes.
- Conduct A/B testing on product pages to enhance visual presentation and improve conversion rates, analyzing results to optimize user experience.
- Oversee and optimize product taxonomy and site navigation to improve customer discoverability and enhance the shopping experience.

Promotional Planning:
- Develop and execute strategic promotional campaigns across the e-commerce site, including flash sales, clearance events, and targeted marketing initiatives.
- Collaborate with marketing teams to create compelling promotional content and messaging.
- Monitor and analyze promotional performance to identify areas for improvement.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:
- Collaborate with finance teams to oversee and reconcile partner payouts, ensuring accuracy and adherence to supplier agreement terms.
- Partner with marketing teams to develop campaigns, seasonal promotions, and featured product collections that resonate with cannabis consumers
- Partner with the web development team to implement site enhancements and optimize user experience.
What you've accomplished:
- 5+ years in e-commerce merchandising, marketplace operations, or retail buying, preferably in the cannabis or regulated consumer goods industry
- Passionate for the cannabis sector, staying informed on industry trends, products, and innovations to drive strategic initiatives and foster strong partnerships
- Experience in web analytics and data interpretation
- Strong understanding of e-commerce platforms and content management systems
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet deadlines
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools
The base pay range for this position is $78,067.00 - $88,624.00 per year
