We employ a collaborative interdisciplinary team (IDT) approach to evaluate and guide participant care.
The Medication Support Assistant works as part of the clinical team, supporting the Clinic Nurse to ensure participants receive their prescriptions in a timely manner. - Plays a critical role in supporting a growing, mission-driven healthcare organization, ensuring vulnerable seniors feel supported and have access to high-quality care
We care about our team members. That’s why we offer:
- Medical insurance coverage (Medical, Dental, Vision)
- Work/life balance - We mean it! 17 days of personal time off (PTO), 12 holidays observed annually, and 6 sick days
- 401K savings + match
- Comprehensive compensation package including base pay and bonus
- And additional benefits!
On the day-to-day, you will:
- Ensure prescriptions are filled in a timely manner to avoid gaps in prescription refills as new participants enroll with WelbeHealth
- Ensure participant information, such as enrollment status and delivery address, are kept up to date in EireneRx and other systems as required
- Address medication requests, issues, and questions, escalating as needed
- Arrange medication delivery from local pharmacies or from the center
- Manage medication orders and changes for participants in assisted living facilities and skilled nursing facilities as needed
- Coordinate arrangements for diabetic supplies and equipment for new participants
Job requirements include:
- High school diploma or equivalency
- Experience as a medication medical assistant, medication technician, or pharmacy technician preferred
- Two (2) years of experience in a clinical setting with a frail or elderly population preferred
We are seeking a Medication Support Assistant that ideally has experience working with frail or elderly populations. If you’re ready to join a team that values both its participants and team members, we’d love to hear from you!
