Technical Product Manager

United States

The Opportunity

We're looking for a Technical Product Manager who sits at the intersection of platform, partnerships, and AI.
In the near term, you'll help shape and guide our API, integrations, and developer platform roadmap. Longer term, you'll help define how Wheelhouse intelligence is accessed and utilized across an increasingly connected ecosystem of applications, workflows, and emerging AI technologies.

We're not trying to use AI to replace revenue managers. We're building tools that make great operators dramatically more effective.

This is not a roadmap maintenance role. It's a builder role.
You'll help shape how Wheelhouse connects with the world—through APIs, integrations, MCP, developer tooling, and intelligent systems that help operators make faster, smarter revenue decisions.

You'll work on questions like:
  • What should developers and AI systems be able to build on top of Wheelhouse?
  • How should Wheelhouse expose its capabilities through Model Context Protocol? What tools do we publish, and how do partners and intelligent systems interact with them?
  • Which partner requests should become scaled platform capabilities?
  • How do we make Wheelhouse Intelligence available wherever revenue decisions are being made?
  • What platform investments create the most leverage for customers, partners, and the broader ecosystem?

How We Think About Product Management

At Wheelhouse, Product Managers aren't roadmap gatekeepers.

We're a small team of highly engaged builders, and some of our best ideas come from engineers, customer-facing teams, partners, leadership, and customers themselves.

Your role isn't to dictate priorities from a spreadsheet. It's to create clarity where there is ambiguity, facilitate productive conversations, identify the highest-leverage opportunities, and help great ideas become great products.

You'll be responsible for bringing together diverse perspectives, asking the right questions, making tradeoffs visible, and helping the organization move forward with confidence and alignment.
If you're energized by collaboration, ownership of outcomes, and building alongside a smart, best-in-class team, you'll thrive here.

What You'll Do

Platform & Ecosystem Strategy
  • Help shape the roadmap for APIs, MCPs, integrations, webhooks, and developer tooling.
  • Partner with engineering, leadership, partnerships, and customer-facing teams to identify the highest-impact platform investments.
  • Look for opportunities to transform one-off requests into reusable capabilities that benefit the broader ecosystem.
  • Champion developer experience through thoughtful API design, documentation, onboarding, and platform reliability.

AI & Emerging Technology
  • Evaluate how AI can create meaningful value for operators, partners, and developers.
  • Help define how Wheelhouse intelligence can be accessed through emerging technologies, standards, and workflows.
  • Partner closely with engineering to identify practical applications of AI that improve customer outcomes.

Partnership & Platform Growth
  • Partner closely with Engineering, Client Success, Support, and external partners to identify integration opportunities, friction points, and evolving customer needs.
  • Stay current on partner API capabilities, roadmap changes, and emerging technologies that could create value for Wheelhouse customers.
  • Translate customer, partner, and internal feedback into scalable API, integration, and ecosystem investments.
  • Help ensure Wheelhouse remains a trusted and easy-to-integrate partner across the hospitality technology landscape.

Product Execution
  • Lead discovery, requirements gathering, and product definition across initiatives and collaborate across teams to validate final scope.
  • Create clear, concise specifications that communicate the problem to be solved, proposed solution, key requirements, and tradeoffs—using workflows, prototypes, and mockups where appropriate.
  • Optimize for clarity, alignment, and execution rather than lengthy documentation.
  • Identify risks, edge cases, and dependencies early.
  • Measure adoption, customer impact, and business outcomes to inform future investments.

We're Looking For Someone Who

  • Has 5+ years of product management experience, ideally in APIs, integrations, developer tooling, technical SaaS products, or ecosystem-focused products and has already launched some AI products/features.
  • Can comfortably discuss APIs, webhooks, authentication, integrations, data models, and modern software architecture.
  • Is deeply curious about AI,MCPs and emerging technologies, and actively incorporates new tools and capabilities into their daily work.
  • Keeps pace with the rapidly evolving AI landscape and enjoys exploring how new technologies can create meaningful customer value.
  • Thinks critically about AI—able to distinguish durable opportunities from hype and identify practical applications that improve outcomes.
  • Is excited by platforms, ecosystems, and enabling others to build on top of great products.
  • Has strong product judgment and knows when to solve a specific problem versus build a reusable capability.
  • Communicates effectively with engineers, customers, partners, and executives.
  • Is highly curious, adaptable, and energized by learning.
  • Thrives in ambiguity and enjoys helping teams navigate complex decisions.
  • Sees AI as a force multiplier for themselves, their teammates, and our customers.
Bonus Points
  • Experience in hospitality/short term rental technology, pricing or revenue management
  • Experience with Linear, Vercel/V0, Claude, and Postman

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.
