The Position

The Matter Management Analyst (MMA) is responsible for assisting the Matter Management Manager and Supervisor in maintaining the accuracy and integrity of the firm's financial system. This includes, but is not limited to, populating client/matter data within the financial systems database, analyzing client guidelines and related client documents, identifying and reconciling data inconsistencies within our systems, performing daily systems maintenance, and coordinating efforts with Partners, Associates, and support staff for identification of missing essential client information.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Monitor all incoming assignments, prioritizing and ensuring their timely completion
  • Work closely with the firm's conflicts team to ensure that all new clients and matters are set up accurately within our systems and compliant with client guidelines
  • Work with team members to coordinate projects with related departments
  • Meet departmental productivity and quality goals
  • Assist in the opening of new clients/matters when necessary
  • Provide input at department meetings to ensure best practices for effective operations

Qualifications

 

  • College graduate with solid internship/work experience
  • Strong reading comprehension skills
  • Ability to produce detailed and accurate work
  • Organizational skills and attention to detail
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Excel experience preferred but not required
  • Ability to demonstrate analytical and problem solving skills
  • Strong customer service skills
  •  Ability to work well in a fast-paced environment while handling a high volume of work
  • Strong history of exercising proper judgment in challenging environments
  • A drive to succeed with a can-do attitude and a commitment to learning and understanding the role

 

A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.  This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. 

Salary Range:

$60,000 - $65,000 USD
