This position offers a flexible, hybrid working arrangement.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Manages and tracks all client implementations on applicable electronic billing systems. Effectively liaising with attorneys, clients, middleware vendors and other administrative teams to meet the timeline for implementation and the specific electronic billing system requirements
  • Monitor all active matter transitions to e-billing, prioritizing and ensuring their timely completion
  • Identifying and documenting compliance requirements for each client’s e-billing process
  • Coordinating client guideline review and implementation
  • Reviews new matters to ensure all relevant electronic billing information is properly entered into the billing system so that invoices are ready to submit electronically when approved. Follows up with partners, secretaries, and clients, as appropriate, to obtain the required information
  • Assesses implementation process for improvements and possible efficiencies
  • Participating in firm-wide and departmental compliance projects and initiatives
  • Performing other duties as assigned
  • Processing write-offs per Firm policy
  • Assistance with the creation and distribution of daily, weekly, monthly reports

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree and internship/work experience or 1-3 years’ experience in legal e-billing may substitute for education
  • Knowledge of legal billing and Middleware systems preferred but not required (i.e. Legal Exchange, TyMetrix 360, Legal-X, Serengeti/Legal Tracker)
  • Intermediate knowledge of Microsoft Excel and Outlook is preferred
  • Strong reading comprehension, analytical and problem solving skills
  • Ability to exercise proper judgment
  • Ability to produce detailed and accurate work products
  • Ability to organize and prioritize work in a fast-paced and high volume environment to meet deadlines and daily requirements
  • Ability to communicate clearly and effectively, both orally and in writing with attorneys, staff, vendors and clients
  • Ability to provide quality client service to both internal and external contacts, regarding matters of a routine nature
  • Ability to identify issues and oversee the execution of resourceful solutions
  • Willingness to learn and develop new skills
  • Experience in project management a plus
  • Knowledge of various Legal Electronic Data Exchange Standard (LEDES) billing formats (specifications, limitations, etc.) a plus

A variety of factors are considered in making compensation decisions, including but not limited to experience, education, licensure and/or certifications, geographic location, market demands, other business and organizational needs, and other factors permitted by law. Final salary wages offered may be outside of this range based on other reasons and individual circumstances.  This position is considered full-time and therefore qualifies for benefits including 401(k) retirement savings plan, medical, dental, vision, disability, and life insurance. Details of participation in these benefit plans will be provided if an employee receives an offer of employment. 

Salary Range:

$50,000 - $70,000 USD
