About The Role:
Our Risk Advisors are supported by a backoffice Operations team that executes core insurance workflows (e.g., data entry, certificate of insurance issuance, dashboard creation). This team consists of ~20 individuals today and is expected to 2-3x in size in 2026. We’re hiring an Operations Manager to own the success of this team. You will work with Operations team leaders to drive performance, eliminate process inefficiencies, and scale a high-quality, cost-efficient service organization. You’ll also partner closely with the Director of Product & Operations to ensure the Operations team supplements the overall operating model of the business.
What You’ll Do:
- Own task reliability and performance, improving on-time completion to >90% across key workflows
- Design a scalable org and management cadence for a distributed team
- Identify and fix process inefficiencies by diagnosing bottlenecks, prioritizing high-leverage improvements, and partnering with Product/other stakeholders to implement solutions
- Build training, onboarding, and SOP systems that standardize execution, ramp new hires quickly, and reinforce quality over time
- Raise the talent bar by hiring strong performers, coaching underperformers to success, and making tough calls when performance doesn’t meet the standard
Who You Are:
- You’ve scaled operational or service teams executing defined workflows in remote or distributed environments
- You have strong experience managing offshore/BPO resources with clear SLAs and quality standards
- You’re a process and systems builder who uses data and observation to find root causes and drive lasting improvements
- You’re a high-accountability people leader who can coach, develop, and performance-manage with clarity
- Bonus (not required): familiarity with insurance or financial services workflows, or experience building onboarding/training programs from scratch
For candidates based in the United States, the pay range for this position at the start of employment is expected to be between $110,000 – $145,000/year. Your exact offer may vary depending on multiple individualized factors, including market location, job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Total compensation for this position may also include equity and employee benefits.
In addition to cash compensation, WithCoverage offers full-time employees a comprehensive Total Rewards package that includes equity grants.
