Responsibilities
We are seeking an exceptional Intern, Software Engineering to join our growing team. In this role, you will help design and develop intelligent Packaged Genies using Workato’s Agent Studio. These Genies rely on thoughtfully crafted Skills that allow them to interact with applications, automate workflows, and support real business scenarios. You will work closely with our team to develop high-quality, reusable components that integrate seamlessly into a broader ecosystem of AI-driven solutions.
You will also be responsible for:

Building and configuring Skills that enable Genies to take actions, gather information, and complete multi-step tasks.

Translating business use cases into structured Genie behaviors and Skill definitions.

Collaborating with engineers and product leads to review requirements and ensure alignment with established patterns.

Testing, refining, and validating Skills for consistency, reliability, and a smooth user experience.

Documenting Genie structures, Skill logic, and usage guidelines.

Exploring workflow patterns across Sales, HR, IT, Finance, and other functions to inform design decisions.
Requirements
Qualifications / Experience / Technical Skills
-
Currently pursuing or recently completed a degree in Computer Science, Engineering, Information Systems, or a related field.

Fundamental understanding of programming concepts (conditions, loops, functions, data structures).

Ability to break down problems logically and think through workflows end-to-end.

Eagerness to learn new tools, platforms, and ways of building AI-driven solutions.

Ability to work independently while being open to guidance and feedback.
-
Strong interest in AI agents, automation, and modular system design.
-
Curiosity about how intelligent workflows are assembled using low-code platforms.
-
Basic understanding of APIs, integrations, or scripting (a plus, not required).

Analytical mindset with attention to detail and clarity.

Good communication skills and willingness to iterate based on feedback.
Nice-to-haves:
-
Exposure to automation or integration tools.

Familiarity with common business applications (CRM, HRMS, ITSM, etc.).
