Why we're hiring:
WPP is on a global transformation journey for its accounting and finance departments. This is an opportunity to join a dynamic team with a great learning environment. We are looking for an Tax Senior - International Taxation to support the US Tax team based in our New York Corporate Headquarters.
What you'll be doing:
- Gathering and requesting information needed to prepare tax return and quarterly estimates.
- Maintenance of excel models used for complex group calculations – GILTI, Sec. 163j, Subpart F, etc.
- Maintenance of CFC organizational charts
- Assist with preparation of overall US consolidated tax return filing including forms, schedules, and elections.
- Assist with preparation of the and completion of year-end tax provision as relevant for the foreign entities owned by the U.S.
- Assist with tax planning & transactional related assignments.
- Support Senior Tax Managers and Tax Managers with their daily projects and assignments.
- Oversee Tax Interns with their assignments and provide mentoring.
What you'll need:
- Bachelor’s degree from an accredited college/university in Accounting or Taxation.
- Three (3) or more years of experience in Public Accounting (Big Four Experience Absolutely Required)
- Experience using Corptax is an added advantage
- Hybrid work arrangement with standard UK hours.
- Knowledge of fundamental US international tax rules including TCJA, inbound, CFCs, Subpart F, Foreign Tax Credits, withholding tax, etc.
- Intermediate to advanced level tax preparation skills
- Comprehensive understanding of international tax reporting obligations, including Forms: 1120, 1120F, 5471, 5472, 1118, 8865, 8858, 8992, & 8993
- Proficient in the use of Microsoft Office Suite, specifically Word, Excel and PowerPoint
- Strong problem solving and organizational skills; high level of attention to details.
- Capable to work in a deadline-driven environment and handle multiple projects simultaneously.
- Self-motivated, comprehends and responds constructively to instructions.
