Why we're hiring:
We are looking for a visionary leader to establish, lead, and continuously improve our global Project Management Office (PMO) for Real Estate & Workplace Services (REWS).
In this pivotal role, you will be the driving force behind consistent governance, efficient project delivery, and strategic portfolio management across all REWS initiatives worldwide. By championing global standards, best practices, and resource optimization, you will directly enable and support our organization’s future-focused real estate strategy.
What you'll be doing:
As the Head of Global PMO, your role will span strategic oversight, operational excellence, and hands-on leadership.
- Governance & Oversight: Develop, implement, and enforce global project governance frameworks, policies, and procedures for all REWS projects (new builds, refurbishments, decommissions). Ensure compliance and provide regular reporting on project health.
- Project Portfolio Management: Oversee the entire global REWS project portfolio—from intake and prioritization to planning, execution, monitoring, and closure—ensuring tight alignment with our strategic business objectives.
- Workplace Services Activations: Align Workplace Services activations to global standards to support a world-class employee experience, ensuring new vendors and IFM (Integrated Facilities Management) rollouts stay on schedule.
- Standards & Best Practices: Define, document, and champion global project management standards, methodologies, tools, and best practices, driving continuous improvement in how we deliver.
- Global Approach Development: Establish a consistent global approach to stakeholder engagement, communication protocols, risk management, and quality assurance.
- Resource & Capacity Planning: Build and implement a global resource and capacity planning model, leveraging globally approved in-country Project Managers via regional PMOs to optimize resource allocation.
- Performance Monitoring & Reporting: Establish KPIs and metrics for REWS project performance, providing comprehensive, data-driven reports to senior leadership on portfolio status, risks, and financial performance.
- Technology & Tools: Implement and leverage state-of-the-art tools to support global project delivery, portfolio management, and space management.
- Risk Management: Proactively identify, assess, and mitigate risks across the global portfolio, developing robust contingency plans.
- Global Asset Register: Ensure the implementation and continuous update of the Global Asset Register, keeping floor plans updated via our space management tool.
- Budget Management: Oversee the consolidated budget for the global REWS project portfolio, ensuring financial discipline and cost-effectiveness.
What you'll need:
- Experience leading and managing large-scale, complex PMOs, ideally within a global corporate environment.
- Deep expertise in Real Estate & Workplace Services (REWS), including new builds, major refurbishments, fit-outs, and decommissioning.
- A proven track record of successfully designing, implementing, and maturing global PMO frameworks and methodologies.
- Experience managing multi-million dollar project portfolios and complex budgets.
- Strong understanding of resource and capacity planning within a distributed, matrixed organizational structure.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability to confidently influence C-suite executives and external partners.
- PMP, PgMP, or equivalent globally recognized project management certification is highly desirable.
- Bachelor’s degree in Project Management, Real Estate, Business Administration, Engineering, or a related field; a Master’s degree is preferred.
