Why we're hiring:
The WPP Tax team is seeking to recruit qualified tax and transfer pricing professionals to be based in our Indian finance shared service centre to support our global transfer pricing team with all aspects of our transfer pricing profile. The roles will have a broad, global remit and will provide excellent exposure to a wide range of transfer pricing matters relevant to supporting WPP’s strategic initiatives and those of our global agencies. The roles provide an exciting opportunity to join a large and complex group and to support on all areas of the transfer pricing lifecycle incorporating aspects of design, implementation, maintenance, documentation and defence globally. The roles provide a unique platform from which to gain diverse experience as an in-house transfer pricing specialist.
What you'll be doing:
You will be involved in supporting our global transfer pricing team (based in London and New York) on an extensive range of transfer pricing matters:
- Supporting the design of new global transfer pricing policies and methodologies in response to WPP’s strategic initiatives and business changes.
- Supporting the on-going maintenance and enhancement of existing transfer pricing policies and methodologies, including implementation of service fees globally.
- Assisting in evaluating the ongoing developments of OECD projects (including BEPS 2.0) and guidelines, and domestic legislation, in order to understand and communicate the implications for our agencies.
- Assisting with the preparation of WPP’s global transfer pricing documentation templates for each network.
- Supporting operating companies worldwide with the preparation and maintenance of local file documentation and benchmarking in collaboration with local finance teams and external advisors.
- Working with relevant stakeholders to ensure necessary legal documentation supporting intra-group transactions is in place, executed where required and maintained.
- Supporting with the collation of information to respond to tax and transfer pricing enquiries worldwide and liaising with external advisors as required.
Who you'll be working with:
Based in our finance shared service centre in Mumbai, you will work closely with our global transfer pricing team of three based across London and New York. You will also work closely with the other members of the UK and New York tax teams, as well as other HQ teams and operating company finance teams. WPP offers a complex and dynamic environment that provides excellent technical development through exposure to a wide range of issues and interaction with a wide range of stakeholders, both internally and externally.
What you'll need:
- 5+ years of transfer pricing experience operating at senior, manager or senior manager level (preferably Big 4);
- Global transfer pricing documentation experience as well as broader exposure to transfer pricing lifecycle, dealing with large and complex multi-nationals;
- Excellent business English verbal and written communication skills;
- Able to manage own workload independently while being part of a larger team;
- Ability to multi-task and prioritise effectively to meet deadlines;
- Able to build relationships and trust within the organisation and work effectively as part of diverse teams;
- Able to deal with ambiguity, imprecise or incomplete data, and other people’s time constraints in requesting information and delivering practical advice.
