- You will lead the transformation of digital media buying from manual insertion orders to data- and technology-driven programmatic buying, driving higher ROI for clients and improved margins.
- You will be at the forefront of Programmatic evolution, working across publishers, vendors, and emerging platforms to modernize media trading for the largest agency network in India.

Your Goals
In the First 3 Months
- Understand the existing programmatic setup across the business.
- Build a growth roadmap for programmatic adoption and maturity.
- Bring structure, accountability, and operational clarity to current processes.
In 6 Months
- Lead the programmatic narrative in business proposals and group pitches with a strong sales approach.
- Ensure integrated operations with wider business teams.
- Identify new business opportunities and contribute to revenue growth for existing clients.
- Start leading client meetings to present programmatic strategies, performance, and opportunities.
In 12 Months
- Establish yourself as a programmatic thought leader with strong industry POVs.
- Secure at least one strategic programmatic win for a key client.
- Build recognition as a storyteller who can translate complex programmatic concepts into compelling client narratives.
What Your Day Job Looks Like at WPP Media
- Build strong relationships with Business teams and clients.
- Lead training, upskilling, and growth of the local programmatic team.
- Enforce DV360 and YouTube/TrueView best practices with consistency and quality.
- Ensure high-quality and timely delivery to regional and local stakeholders with full accountability.
- Act as the escalation point and problem solver for the team.
- Drive capacity planning and resource management.
- Provide coaching, feedback, and career development support.
- Lead internal and external client meetings with confidence and clarity.
- Use storytelling to present data, insights, and strategy in a compelling manner.
- Bring a sales mindset to every interaction — identifying opportunities to grow business and strengthen client partnerships.
What You’ll Bring
- Experience in agencies, trading desks, or programmatic tech partners.
- Hands-on campaign execution experience across DSPs, exchanges, and measurement platforms.
- Strong understanding of DSP/exchange revenue models and ability to negotiate trading benefits.
- Existing relationships with publishers, data providers, and programmatic partners.
- Ability to explain complex technical concepts (lookalike modeling, cookie mapping, audience strategies) in simple terms.
- Strong sales orientation, ownership mindset, and client-first approach.
- Confidence in leading client conversations and influencing stakeholders.
- Natural storytelling ability using data, insights, and performance narratives.
Minimum Qualifications
- 10+ years of digital media experience within a media agency/trading desk.
- Expertise in Google Marketing Platform (DV360, CM, GA360).
- Experience with leading AdTech and MarTech platforms.
- Experience in client decks, programmatic strategy, and new business pitches.
- Strong strategic thinking and structured approach to growing existing business.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office tools.
