Role Summary and Impact 

Goat is WPP Media’s influencer solution, helping global brands harness the power of social and creator-led content to deliver measurable impact. Recognised as a global leader in the space, we deliver award-winning campaigns in more than 70 countries. With over 650 social natives worldwide, we create ambitious influencer programmes from tactical activations to long-term partnerships, designed to drive awareness, engagement and conversions across the full marketing funnel.

We are looking for a new Strategy Manager to join our Strategy team to help us in coming up with the best creative ideas and social strategies for some of the biggest brands in the world. In this role you will handle complex briefs, bring clarity to ambiguity, and elevate our creative output through strong cultural understanding, sound judgment, and strategic focus. Candidates should have proven experience working within social-first environments and a deep grasp of influencer ecosystems.

Skills and Experience 

Key Responsibilities:

  • Lead strategic proposals for multi-million projects and complex briefs.
  • Own projects end-to-end with high accuracy and consistently strong outputs.
  • Build proposals on clear strategy + strong creative to improve win rates.
  • Apply commercial thinking: profitable for the agency, efficient to deliver, meets client goals.
  • Develop concise, insight-led creative concepts/content ideas aligned to strategy.
  • Turn strategy into clear, compelling narratives for pitches and decks.
  • Contribute in management calls: feedback, improvements, solutions.
  • Take ownership beyond your projects to lift team performance and win rates.
  • Lead a client group (Group 1/2/3) and/or an agency initiative (case studies, AI, training).
  • Drive collaboration, knowledge-sharing and accurate tracking within your area.
  • Support marketing: Substack/vlogs and attend platform events; share learnings internally.
  • Line manage interns: assign/review work, coach, give feedback, track progress.
  • Cover Exec line management when needed (check-ins, reviews, workload).
  • Lead pitches/presentations.
  • Write and speak with clarity and brevity.
  • Strong grasp of the full agency offering; integrate it into strategies.
  • Build specialist expertise (e.g., AI) and create training to upskill the team.

Role Requirements:

  • 2-3 years experience in a similar role.
  • Strong written, communication and note taking skills.
  • Generally tech-savvy, working remotely (on Mac OS).
  • Native user of various Social Media Platforms with a strong understanding of each.
  • An eye for design or design experience is very useful.
  • Any previous experience working in a client-facing role is advantageous.
  • Any specific interests relevant to our work, for example: sport, gaming, finance, tech, automotive, entertainment etc.
