About the Role:

xAI is seeking an engaging and professional security champion to support the ongoing growth of the organization’s security program. Reporting to the Sr. Security Manager, the Security Trainer will lead the training efforts for the security team. The Security Trainer will operate with a heightened sense of security awareness and will ensure members of the security team are trained in security software systems (access control, camera, visitor management, etc.), security operational procedures, and emergency response. This is an in-person role based in Memphis, Tennessee, and will require up to 25% travel.

Responsibilities:
● Develop access control, camera, and visitor management systems training programs.
● Instruct security new hires and current security staff with physical security systems and operational training programs.
● Provide continual support to the Credentialing, GSOC, and Security Operations teams.
● Ability to travel to various national and international locations to take on security training responsibilities.
● Adapt to various roles within the security team, taking on different tasks based on operational needs.

Basic Qualifications
● 5+ years of physical security experience (private security, law enforcement, military, or emergency response).
● 5+ years of experience managing access control, camera, and visitor management systems.
● 2+ years of experience training new hires applicable on the job skills.
● Bachelor’s degree, or equivalent experience.
● Excellent knowledge of public safety and security procedures/protocols.
● CPR/AED Certified.

Preferred Skills and Experience
● CPP, PSP or equivalent certifications are a plus.
● Subject Matter Expert with camera, access control, and visitor management systems.
● 5+ years of leadership experience in military, law enforcement or emergency response.
● Experience in a security function managing large sites, corporate, or manufacturing environments is desirable.

Additional Requirements
● Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time.
● Ability to work evenings and weekends as needed to train personnel on varying shifts.
● Personal integrity is crucial. This position is expected to maintain operational security and safeguard sensitive information.
