Vice President/Senior Director, Marketing, Marketplace

As the Vice President/Senior Director, Marketing, Marketplace, you will be responsible for developing and executing comprehensive marketing strategies that drive brand awareness, customer acquisition, and product adoption. You will lead a team of marketing professionals and work closely with product management, sales, and other departments to ensure alignment with the company's overall business goals.  

Responsibilities

  • Develop and execute comprehensive marketing strategies that align with Xometry’s marketplace division’s overall business objectives.
  • Lead a team of marketing professionals, providing guidance, mentorship, and training.
  • Work heavily with Marketing Shared Services teams on marketing execution and analysis.
  • Develop and maintain acquisition and retention strategies to attract new users to Xometry and drive repurchase and LTV among existing users. 
  • Manage and optimize marketing campaigns across various channels, including traditional media, digital marketing, public relations, and events.
  • Own brand equity and messaging strategy for the large and fast-growing Xometry brand.
  • Develop messages and marketing campaigns around Xometry’s overall benefits, prototyping and production services, encompassing all services (CNC machining, 3D printing, injection molding, sheet cutting/laser cutting, sheet metal fabrication, tube bending/cutting, die casting, extrusion, stamping).
  • Work with the brand, content/email, and performance marketing teams to develop assets that drive visibility and purchase intent for the brand. These channels include but are not limited to paid search, SEO, content, video, programmatic, trade press advertising, and more. 
  • Track and analyze key performance indicators (KPIs) to measure the effectiveness of marketing campaigns.
  • Collaborate with sales, product and other departments to ensure a seamless customer experience.
  • Develop and execute product marketing strategies that support product launches, positioning, and messaging.
  • Conduct market research to understand customer needs and preferences.
  • Create compelling product positioning, messaging, and value propositions.
  • Develop sales enablement materials, such as product presentations, demos, and case studies.
  • Collaborate with product management to define product roadmaps and features.
  • Support sales teams by providing product training and sales tools.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor's degree in marketing, business, or a related field.
  • 10+ years of experience in marketing, with at least 5 years in a leadership role.
  • Past experience working in a two-sided marketplace is heavily preferred. 
  • Proven track record of driving brand awareness, customer acquisition, and product adoption.
  • Strong understanding of traditional and digital marketing channels.
  • Experience with product marketing, including product positioning, messaging, and launch strategies.
  • Excellent analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Strong leadership and management skills.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, collaborative environment.
  • Familiarity with data-driven marketing and attribution modeling.
  • Experience with A/B testing and optimization.
  • Strong understanding of customer journey mapping and marketing funnel analysis heavily preferred.
