Position Summary

The Senior Product Manager role is responsible for leading product strategy, development, and execution for our Bid to Bill product line, which supports utilities with transaction and accounting processes in deregulated wholesale electricity markets. This pivotal role is focused on shaping product capabilities to meet evolving customer and regulatory needs, with responsibility for defining roadmaps, ensuring market fit, and supporting commercial outcomes.

 

You will serve as the product owner within the development team and work cross-functionally with engineering, services, operations, and commercial teams to ensure successful product delivery and adoption.

 

Position Details

  • Salary range: $144,000 - $175,000 before bonus

  • Reporting to: Sr Director of Product - Bid to Bill
  • Travel requirement: 10% to 25%.

Primary Responsibilities

  • Product Vision and Strategy
    • Partner with the Senior Director of Product to define and evolve the vision and strategic roadmap for the Bid to Bill product line.
    • Align product strategy with market needs, customer workflows, and regulatory developments.
    • Translate strategic goals into prioritized product initiatives with clear outcomes and success metrics.
  • Development Leadership
    • Act as the product owner for the Bid to Bill development team, delivering business context, user perspectives, and feature prioritization.
    • Develop and maintain a detailed product roadmap based on market feedback, analytics, and internal alignment.
    • Conduct research on regulatory and industry changes impacting settlements, billing, and accounting functions for power market participants.
  • Commercial Success
    • Support go-to-market efforts through collaboration with sales and marketing on positioning, messaging, and launches.
    • Monitor usage data and customer feedback to inform product improvements and identify new growth opportunities.
    • Participate in commercial strategy efforts to grow ARR from current and new markets
  • Market Intelligence & Risk Mitigation
    • Continuously analyze trends in deregulated electricity markets and settlements/accounting processes.
    • Monitor competitor products and market activity to maintain differentiation and relevance.
    • Identify and mitigate product and market risks to support long-term viability and customer satisfaction.
  • Cross-Functional Collaboration
    • Collaborate with Professional Services to ensure smooth implementation and customer adoption.
    • Work closely with Customer Operations to improve the customer experience based on feedback loops.
    • Serve as a key voice of the customer in internal forums and cross-departmental initiatives.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Minimum of five years of product management experience in a SaaS environment, ideally within the energy or regulated utilities space.
  • Strong domain understanding of settlements, billing, and/or accounting processes in deregulated power markets (e.g., ISO/RTO environments).
  • Proven success managing cross-functional product teams and delivering impactful software solutions.
  • Demonstrated ability to synthesize regulatory, market, and customer insights into product strategy.
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills across technical and non-technical audiences.
  • An analytical mindset with comfort in making decisions based on quantitative and qualitative data.
