Associate Director, Investor Relations, Institutional RE

About The Role

Yieldstreet is seeking a seasoned Associate Director to join our Investor Relations team. This role will be dedicated to serving our Institutional clients who invested ~$1B with Cadre, a real estate investing firm acquired by Yieldstreet in 2023. You will lead the effort to provide an exceptional experience, acting as the primary point of contact for clients as well as partnering and coordinating with key stakeholders internally.

This person needs to be an exceptional communicator, experienced in working successfully with all types of institutional investors, from large intermediaries, public plans and sovereign wealth funds, to endowments and foundations, family offices and ultra high net worth individuals. You will also need to be a real estate expert and understand the structure and operations of PERE funds, using this knowledge to deliver for your clients across key motions like regular inquiries, reporting, capital calls & distributions, tax, and more.

This role is dedicated to institutional clients, but will sit within the broader Investor Relations team and will work collaboratively with all members of the Investor Relations team as well as multiple other internal stakeholders including the Investment, Fund Management, Operations, Product and Technology and Marketing teams. This role will be based in our NYC office and reports to our Vice President of Investor Relations.

What you'll do:

  • Provides timely, high-quality service and support to our Institutional clients. 
  • Serve as primary point of contact for clients, coordinating responses to questions, calls, reporting & diligence, and prepare associated materials for client updates, calls and meetings.
  • Lead and optimize the processes of Institutional Investor Relations, with a focus on operational excellence, documentation and collaboration.
  • Develop strategic plans and initiatives for key responsibilities, and drive execution. 
  • Partner with other Investor Relations colleagues and adjacent teams to drive efficiencies across both institutional and retail investors.
  • Identify, measure, and troubleshoot issues to identify areas for improvement.
  • Research trends and best practices and partner with the team to implement improvements and realize efficiencies.

What you’ll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in finance, business administration, or a related field.
  • 7+ years experience in investor relations, with experience serving institutional clients.
  • A strong communicator, effectively and confidently delivering impactful messaging externally with clients and internally with colleagues and company leadership.
  • A skilled operator, extremely organized with attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple tasks and deadlines simultaneously.
  • Excellent presentation skills effectively conveying complex financial information to diverse audiences
  • Able to work independently as well as part of a collaborative team environment.
  • Technological aptitude - confident working in and managing customer experience/CRM, operations and business analytics systems in a tech-forward environment.
  • Experience with the regulatory and compliance guidelines for interacting with investors.

Ideal candidates will have:

  • Deep knowledge of real estate and other alternative investments.
  • Strong understanding of accounting, financial modeling, market analysis, and valuations.
  • Present or past FINRA licenses a plus (e.g. Series 7, 63, 65, 66).

Compensation:

  • HIRING SALARY RANGE: $120,000+ (Actual salary to be determined by the education, experience, knowledge, skills, and abilities of the applicant, internal equity, and alignment with market data.) Compensation package also includes generous, bonus, benefits and equity.
