Investment Operations Associate

About the Role

Yieldstreet is looking for an Associate to join the Investment Operations Team full time. The  Investment Ops team plays a critical role in helping build an industry leading platform for retail investors to invest in alternatives. You will be responsible for onboarding of new deals and understanding how each investment is structured and offered to investors. Tasks will include cash reconciliations, distributions and cap table management. You will collaborate with members across the organization and work in a dynamic, fast-paced international environment. This role will be based in our office in Athens, Greece.

What you'll do:

  • Manage a portfolio of alternative investments spanning multiple asset classes from transaction processing, cash management and reconciliation.
  • Management of Closed-End fund capitalization tables and syndication in a closed-end fund as dictated by each Operating Agreement.
  • Work alongside our Fund Accounting team to ensure deals are properly reflected in our portfolio accounting software; Advent Geneva & World Investor.
  • Reconcile receivables and confirm amounts to be distributed to investors.
  • Reconcile investor distributions and confirm all failed payments are timely processed.
  • Become a key liaison between Portfolio Management, Transaction Management & Accounting teams.
  • Assist and own part of the implementation of the strategic software architecture within Yieldstreet. 

What you'll need:

  • Bachelor's degree in Economics / Finance / Mathematics. Masters or equivalent degree in a relevant field or industry specific designations (ACCA, CFA) preferred.
  • 3-7 years of Finance Operations experience in Private equity/credit,  middle-office or banking, or treasury/accounting functions.
  • Basic understanding of Fund / Portfolio Accounting.
  • Intermediate or Advanced Excel skills.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills in English (essential).

Bonus points for:

  • SQL or Python experience is nice to have.
  • Strong understanding of Loan & Security Agreements, Operating Agreements, Bond Indentures or other such financial documents.
  • Experience with portfolio accounting software such as Advent Geneva, World Investor, or other accounting systems.
