Senior DevOps Engineer

We are looking for a new colleague to join our R&D team as a DevOps Engineer with an SRE focus. We’re seeking someone with hands-on DevOps experience who can both propose the right solutions and lead their implementation. Working closely with teams across multiple locations (Ostrava, Brno, Prague), you will be a key player in shaping our DevOps vision and ensuring the resilience of our product.

What you'll do:

• Lead R&D efforts to streamline product deployment, maintenance, and resiliency.
• Support a 99.9% SLA, fully automate processes, and drive continuous integration and delivery (CI/CD).
• Create and maintain the DevOps vision for our products.
• Collaborate with an R&D teams to bolster deployment and maintenance strategies, validate technologies, and optimize approaches. Afterward, assisting them in enhancing their DevOps practices.

About you:

• Significant DevOps experience and comfort working with a broad range of technologies.
• Fluent Czech (plus willingness to speak English in an international setting).
• Ready to travel to Ostrava or Brno (and occasionally Prague) — ideally able to visit one of these offices at least every two weeks.
• Hands-on mentality — you enjoy suggesting and implementing solutions alongside your team.
• Open-minded about tools and stacks.

Must-have skills:

• Terraform (preferably certification)
• Kubernetes (K8S) and a delivery system for it
• Bamboo
• Java

Great/nice to have:

• Scala, Rust, Kotlin, Python, C#, JavaScript, Bash, F#
• Argo CD or another delivery system (deeper expertise)
• Experience with LESS / agile methodologies
• AWS (certification is a plus)
• Open Telecom
• On-call duty experience

 How you´ll work:

• Spend the first 5–10 months primarily with the Hound RnD team in Ostrava, closely collaborating on product resiliency and deployment.
• Guide teams across different locations in adopting DevOps practices and improving their CI/CD pipelines.
• Contribute strategic insights on technology choices and best practices.
