You will:

  • Develop multimodal machine learning models for tasks like image captioning and cross-modal retrieval using PyTorch.
  • Collaborate with data scientists and software engineers to integrate multimodal models into production systems.
  • Stay up-to-date with the latest advancements in machine learning research.

You are:

  • Thinking statistically: You can model any given data and implement a toolbox of algorithms to make statistically informed predictions and recommendations.
  • A maker: You have a hacker’s spirit. You can write clean and maintainable code to get the job done. You are not afraid of “rolling your own” tools when you can’t find the solution that you need.
  • A good communicator: You are good at written and verbal communication. You write good documents and reports for both technical and non-technical audiences. 

You have:

  • BS or MS in Computer Science, Applied Mathematics, or a related field.
  • Expertise in Python. Experience with Julia, Rust, or R is a plus.
  • Solid understanding of computer vision and natural language processing concepts.
  • A curious mind: You find pleasure in learning about new technologies, studying research papers, and experimenting with different processes to refine them.
  • Familiarity with cloud computing platforms, such as GCP, is a plus.
  • Proven proficiency in PyTorch is a big plus.
  • A strong Kaggle or GitHub profile is a big plus.
