THE ROLE

We're building Zeta Developer Platform, our next-generation Marketing Operating System, and we need a Senior Product Designer who will be instrumental to its success. This role is a pillar position that bridges design and engineering to create the core foundation of the Agentic Apps Framework that will fuel our Zeta Developer Platform experience. You'll partner with our design system team, inform Model Context Protocol (MCP) improvements, and build the foundation—then scale—our Agentic and Vertical Apps infrastructure. You'll join at a pivotal moment where we're raising the bar on quality, speed, and innovation. We're looking for someone who can challenge us in the best way: bringing strong skills in AI, visual design, UX, motion, and coding to push our thinking forward and help us achieve what hasn't been done before.

This is a foundational role for a product that will define our company's future. You won't just be designing features—you'll be designing the core AI experience.

  • AI is central to how users interact with the product, not an add-on
  • Your work defines how users trust, understand, and rely on the Zeta Developer Platform every day
  • You’re shaping a platform launching at Zeta Live 2026, with impact that compounds over time

THE TEAM

We're evolving how we work to reach the next level:

  • Vision over hand-holding leads to more creativity and innovation
  • Empowerment and delegation leads to more accountability and ownership
  • Strategy and clarity means less management, more impact
  • Challenge and growth creates better outcomes through healthy debate

We value people who bring ideas on what we should stop doing, start doing, or change to elevate our team.

RESPONSIBILITIES

  • Design the Zeta Developer Platform Experience: Own and evolve the end-to-end Zeta Developer Platform experience, including conversational interfaces, contextual guidance, and AI-driven workflows that support daily user tasks across the platform.
  • Design Systems Partnership: You’ll work closely with our Design Systems team to create, maintain, and evolve scalable UX and UI patterns for Zeta Developer Platform—ensuring consistency, quality, and flexibility as the platform grows and more teams build on it.
  • Partner Closely with Product & Engineering: Work as a core triad partner with Product Management and Engineering to define strategy, behavior, and execution—translating complex requirements and technical constraints into intuitive, human-centered AI experiences. Confidently present work, rationale, and tradeoffs to partners and leadership to drive alignment and decisions.
  • Advance AI Interaction & Explainability Patterns: Define how Zeta Developer Platform communicates intent, progress, confidence, and limitations—helping users understand, trust, and collaborate with intelligent systems.
  • Raise the Bar on Craft, Motion, and Interaction Quality: Lead by example through strong visual design, interaction design, motion, and prototyping—using motion and micro-interactions to communicate system state, reduce cognitive load, and make AI feel responsive and alive.
  • Scale the Zeta Developer Platform Experience: Identify opportunities to standardize UX patterns, documentation, and behaviors across Zeta Developer Platform—creating consistency while allowing flexibility where needed.

REQUIREMENTS

  • 8+ years of product design experience on complex platforms or systems
  • Experience designing and shipping AI-powered or data-informed products
  • Proven track record of close collaboration with Product and Engineering
  • Experience influencing standards, patterns, or systems beyond a single feature
  • Ability to balance craft, speed, and business impact
  • Figma (expert level) — scalable component architecture, design systems, and documentation
  • AI design tools such as ChatGPT, Claude, or similar, used as part of daily design workflows
  • Prototyping tools (Figma Prototypes, Framer, ProtoPie, or similar) for exploring behavior and interaction
  • Motion tools such as Rive or After Effects or similar for stateful interactions and micro-animations
  • Working knowledge of HTML, CSS, and modern frontend concepts
  • Comfort working within modern product development tools and workflow

Core Skills

  • AI & Conversational Design Fluency: Experience designing AI-powered, conversational, or assistive experiences, with a focus on clarity, trust, and responsible presentation of AI output.
  • Systems & Platform Design Expertise: Proven ability to design scalable UX frameworks, patterns, and interaction models that support complex platforms and evolving capabilities.
  • End-to-End Product Design Craft: Excellence across UX, visual design, interaction design, and motion, with the ability to make complex systems feel approachable and usable.
  • Technical Collaboration & Prototyping: Comfort partnering closely with engineers, understanding technical constraints, and using prototyping to explore and validate interaction and behavior.
  • Design Leadership Without Authority: Ability to influence outcomes through clear thinking, strong critique, documentation, and example-setting across teams.
  • Cross-Functional Influence & Communication: Demonstrated ability to clearly articulate design thinking, rationale, and tradeoffs; confidently present work; and influence decisions across design, product, engineering, data, and leadership—especially in complex, ambiguous, or technically dense problem spaces.

Race & Ethnicity Definitions

If you believe you belong to any of the categories of protected veterans listed below, please indicate by making the appropriate selection. As a government contractor subject to the Vietnam Era Veterans Readjustment Assistance Act (VEVRAA), we request this information in order to measure the effectiveness of the outreach and positive recruitment efforts we undertake pursuant to VEVRAA. Classification of protected categories is as follows:

A "disabled veteran" is one of the following: a veteran of the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service who is entitled to compensation (or who but for the receipt of military retired pay would be entitled to compensation) under laws administered by the Secretary of Veterans Affairs; or a person who was discharged or released from active duty because of a service-connected disability.

A "recently separated veteran" means any veteran during the three-year period beginning on the date of such veteran's discharge or release from active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval, or air service.

An "active duty wartime or campaign badge veteran" means a veteran who served on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service during a war, or in a campaign or expedition for which a campaign badge has been authorized under the laws administered by the Department of Defense.

An "Armed forces service medal veteran" means a veteran who, while serving on active duty in the U.S. military, ground, naval or air service, participated in a United States military operation for which an Armed Forces service medal was awarded pursuant to Executive Order 12985.

Voluntary Self-Identification of Disability

Form CC-305
OMB Control Number 1250-0005
Expires 04/30/2026

Why are you being asked to complete this form?

We are a federal contractor or subcontractor. The law requires us to provide equal employment opportunity to qualified people with disabilities. We have a goal of having at least 7% of our workers as people with disabilities. The law says we must measure our progress towards this goal. To do this, we must ask applicants and employees if they have a disability or have ever had one. People can become disabled, so we need to ask this question at least every five years.

Completing this form is voluntary, and we hope that you will choose to do so. Your answer is confidential. No one who makes hiring decisions will see it. Your decision to complete the form and your answer will not harm you in any way. If you want to learn more about the law or this form, visit the U.S. Department of Labor’s Office of Federal Contract Compliance Programs (OFCCP) website at www.dol.gov/ofccp.

How do you know if you have a disability?

  • Alcohol or other substance use disorder (not currently using drugs illegally)
