WHO YOU ARE:
Zinnia is seeking a Corporate Development Intern to join our team and contribute to our growth strategy. As a Corporate Development Intern, you will gain valuable hands-on experience by contributing to the analysis of market opportunities, the assessment of strategic partnerships, the development of pricing strategies, and the support of go-to-market initiatives for key corporate priorities.

WHAT YOU’LL LEARN:  

Business Strategy and Market Analysis

  • Support the evaluation of growth opportunities that align with Zinnia’s long-term vision and competitive strengths. Analyze market trends, competitive landscapes, pricing and go-to-market strategy, and industry developments to inform strategic decisions.

Mergers & Acquisitions (M&A)

  • Assist in all aspects of the M&A process, including research, strategy development, due diligence, and post-deal integration. Learn how to build business cases and frameworks to assess potential transactions.

Investor Relations and Communication

  • Help prepare materials for investor presentations, updates, and reports. Support the cultivation of relationships with stakeholders, including venture capital firms and private equity investors. Contribute to capital-raising initiatives through collaboration with internal and external teams. 

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:  

  • Currently pursuing a Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Finance, Business, Economics, or a related field.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience using tools like Excel or Google Sheets for data analysis and financial tasks.
  • An interest in financial modeling and prior experience applying basic financial analysis in coursework or internships.
  • Excellent communication and presentation skills, with attention to detail and the ability to synthesize complex information.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic and fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with the InsurTech industry is a plus.

The expected hourly range for this position is $20.00 - $24.00, dependent on skills and location. The hourly range is a good faith estimate based on what a successful candidate might be paid in certain Company locations.
