Location: Onsite (San Luis Obispo, CA)

 Key Responsibilities

  • Support monthly financial close processes and reporting
  • Reconcile general ledger accounts, research variances, and maintain audit-ready documentation
  • Reconcile bank and credit card statements
  • Prepare monthly accruals and deferrals in accordance with GAAP
  • Maintain employee accounts in Unanet (ERP) for new hires, rate changes, project assignments, and other updates as needed
  • Create and post labor cost for semi-monthly payroll cycle, verify inputs in Unanet and post payroll journal entries
  • Assist in preparation for internal, financial, or DCAA audits
  • Collaborate with cross-functional teams to ensure accurate labor distribution and cost tracking

 

Required Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or related field
  • 8+ years of accounting experience with 3–5 years in a government contracting environment
  • Working experience in Unanet ERP (GovCon)
  • Strong understanding of GAAP and DCAA compliance requirements
  • Advanced in Microsoft Excel, including pivot tables and formulas
  • US Citizenship

 

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience with indirect rate structures (fringe, overhead, G&A)
  • Previous participation in external audits or DCAA reviews
  • Familiarity with timekeeping compliance and labor distribution rules
  • Knowledge of revenue recognition for government contracts (e.g., T&M, CPFF, FFP contracts)

 

 

Pay range for this role

$120,000 - $150,000 USD
