In this position you will serve as the primary specialist in designing and implementing machine learning solutions across multiple projects. Your expertise in ML algorithms and ML, DL and Foundation Models will empower us to develop robust, scalable systems and improve them over time. Ultimately we expect you to not just fit in with our ML crew but to elevate it to new heights.  Our technical teams help clients launch innovations that fix the climate, defeat cancer, improve agricultural efficiencies, teach kids to read and more. We’re as proud of our culture as we are of our projects. You will be too.    The Role Take full responsibility for assigned tasks and projects, ensuring accountability for outcomes and results. Understand business objectives and develop models that help achieve them, along with metrics to track progress. Design and implement complex ML systems using classical machine learning, deep learning and foundation models, adhering to best practices. Lead client communications by gathering requirements, managing expectations and communicating deliverables effectively. Wrangle, explore and visualize data with a keen eye for issues requiring data cleaning, as well as differences in data distribution that may affect post-deployment performance. Analyze model errors and design strategies to overcome them. Deploy, maintain and upgrade ML models and pipelines. Follow Loka’s career track for growth by demonstrating technical excellence, innovation, autonomy, ownership, communication and teamwork. Drive architectural decisions and contribute to high-level planning and strategy.  Direct report to ML leads. Stay updated with industry trends to incorporate cutting-edge techniques and tools into projects. Write and maintain technical documentation. Provide guidance and mentorship to junior ML engineers within the team. Collaborate cross-functionally with other teams (Data Engineering, DevOps, Backend) to ensure seamless integration of ML solutions. Continuously optimize models for performance, scalability and cost-effectiveness, especially within the AWS environment. The Role Design and execute comprehensive test plans for complex web and mobile projects. Independently identify flaws, gaps in documentation and edge cases, applying the appropriate testing methodology (Smoke, Regression, User Acceptance, E2E). Collaborate with developers, product managers and stakeholders to ensure quality is embedded across the product lifecycle. Mentor and review tests authored by other team members, ensuring consistency and high standards across the department. Report progress, challenges and risks proactively, taking ownership of outcomes and learning from successes and failures. Requirements 3+ years of experience in web and mobile testing, including complex projects Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field Strong proficiency in test planning, design and execution across multiple methodologies Hands-on experience with test automation frameworks (non-web driver approaches preferred), API testing tools (Postman, Swagger) and CI/CD pipelines Familiarity with debugging and troubleshooting complex systems Familiarity with tools like, JIRA, Testrail or similar project/test management platforms Proven ability to independently assess, execute and optimize tests for high-quality deliverables Strong English communication skills, with the ability to adjust messaging for technical and non-technical audiences Demonstrated curiosity, ownership, autonomy and collaboration in complex, globally distributed and remote teams. The Role Analyze complex requirements and design comprehensive test plans, applying advanced test design techniques and modifying plans based on reviews. Independently execute high-quality testing across web, mobile and backend systems, identifying edge cases, exposing system flaws and ensuring scalability under load. Collaborate with project managers, developers and stakeholders to anticipate issues, address gaps early and integrate QA strategy into the development lifecycle. Leverage customer feedback and industry best practices to improve products, tools and services, sharing insights across the company. Take ownership of project outcomes, proactively reporting risks, resolving challenges and ensuring clarity in expectations with team members and external stakeholders. Mentor and support junior/mid-level QA engineers, fostering collaboration, constructive feedback and an inclusive, respectful team culture. Communicate clearly with both technical and non-technical audiences, presenting confidently in global meetings and ensuring transparency across teams. Requirements 5+ years of experience in Quality Assurance, including 3+ years in test automation for web and/or mobile applications Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related field Expertise in designing and executing complex test plans, test cases and automated scripts Strong proficiency in test automation frameworks (non-web driver approaches preferred), CI/CD pipelines and API/Backend testing Solid knowledge of JavaScript or other programming languages; experience with UI, integration and functional testing Familiarity with debugging tools, version control systems (GIT), IDEs (IntelliJ, VS Code) and DevOps pipelines (Azure, Jenkins, Bitbucket. Github actions) Proven ability to independently deliver high quality results and guide QA team members Excellent English communication skills with the ability to adapt messaging for technical and non technical audiences.
