Position Summary
The Internal Business Development Consultant of Retirement Plans plays a key role in driving growth by converting inbound interest into advisor relationships and new retirement plan opportunities.
This position sits at the intersection of marketing, sales, and relationship development. You will be the first point of contact for financial advisors exploring retirement plan solutions, helping qualify opportunities, build relationships, and support the sales pipeline.
Working closely with Strongpoint’s field-based sales team, this role focuses on lead qualification, advisor engagement, and proactive follow-up. It is an ideal opportunity for someone looking to build a career in retirement plan sales and advisor distribution.
Key Responsibilities
Manage and qualify inbound retirement plan leads generated through marketing campaigns, partnerships, and referrals
Engage financial advisors, consultants, and referral partners to understand their business and retirement plan needs
Build and maintain a pipeline of qualified opportunities, ensuring timely follow-up and progression
Partner with field sales and National Accounts teams to transition opportunities and coordinate next steps
Support advisor meetings, proposals, and presentations
Educate advisors on retirement plan design, compliance considerations, and TPA services
Maintain accurate records of all interactions and pipeline activity within the CRM
Collaborate with marketing to provide feedback on lead quality and campaign performance
What You Bring
2–5 years of experience in financial services, sales, business development, or client relationship management
Exposure to retirement plans, financial advisor distribution, or institutional sales is preferred
Bachelor’s degree in business, marketing, or a related field preferred
Experience working with CRM platforms and sales tools
Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office

Position Summary:
Retirement Planners & Administrators (RPA), a Strongpoint Partner, is seeking a skilled Retirement Plan Administrator who will perform full A-Z administration for a caseload of defined contribution retirement plans. The right candidate will be confident in administering 401(k) and cross-tested plans from start to finish, have a strong command of compliance testing, and possess a detail-oriented, client-focused approach. This position offers an excellent opportunity for a self-starter who thrives in a remote work environment and is excited to grow with a firm that values innovation and excellence in client service.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a fully remote position and can be performed from anywhere within the United States. We welcome candidates from all U.S. time zones; however, due to the primary locations of our partners and clients, preference will be given to those in the Central & Eastern time zone(s).
Key Responsibilities:
Administer full-cycle (A-Z) plan operations for a book of 401(k) and cross-tested retirement plans.
Perform compliance testing including ADP/ACP, 415, 410(b), Top Heavy, and 401(a)(4).
Coordinate year-end valuations and interpret plan documents.
Process participant transactions such as loans, hardships, and distributions.
Prepare and file IRS/government forms including 5500, 8955, and 5330.
Reconcile plan assets and complete trust accounting tasks.
Import and manage census and participant data.
Recommend and evaluate plan design changes to ensure ongoing compliance and client satisfaction.
Communicate with clients on plan administration issues with clarity and professionalism.
Leverage internal systems and technology to streamline processes and improve accuracy.
Other duties as assigned.
Qualifications:
Bachelor's degree in Business, Finance, Mathematics, or similarly related field.
3-5+ years of experience in retirement plan administration, preferably in a TPA environment.
Deep understanding of regulatory compliance and testing standards.
Knowledge of ERISA regulations.
Proficient in Relius software, (preferred).
Skilled communicator with strong organizational and project management abilities.
Detail-oriented with solid math/accounting skills.
Able to thrive in a fast-paced, remote work environment.
ASPPA credentials (or in progress) strongly preferred.
Proficient in Microsoft Office 365 (Excel, Word, Outlook, etc.).
Pay Transparency Statement:
The anticipated pay range for this position is $80,000-$90,000 annually.
At Strongpoint Partners, our salary ranges reflect the minimum and maximum base pay for the posted position applicable to all locations across the US. Within the posted salary range, individual pay is determined by the geographic location, job related skills, experience, education, and certifications. Our total compensation package includes base pay plus a comprehensive benefits program.
Loans & Distribution
Position Summary:
We're seeking a dedicated individual with 2-3 years of experience in managing loans and distributions within the retirement plan landscape to join our Loans and Distribution team. You'll play a pivotal role in ensuring accurate and timely processing, resolving issues, and providing exceptional customer service, all while embracing our empathetic and growth-driven culture.
PLEASE NOTE: This is a fully remote position and can be performed from anywhere within the United States; however, due to the primary locations of our client teams, preference will be given to those in the Central and Eastern time zones.
Key Responsibilities:
· Manage inflow of requests that come in overnight that are assigned to you
· Assisting participants as needed to ensure their requests are handled appropriately by learning different vendors’ websites to approve online requests and run reports when needed
· Answering and returning calls from recordkeepers, customers, participants but not limited to.
· Administrative work that includes a variety of reports, data entry, research, documentation review
· Ensuring timely and accurate processing of distributions and loans
· Resolving issues as they pertain to distribution and loan processing
· Manage relationships with multiple recordkeepers to ensure compliance and seamless processing.
· Keep PensionPro, FT William, recordkeepers, ERISApedia current.
Minimum Qualifications:
· Preferred minimum of 2-3 years of experience with retirement plan documents.
· Experience working in a high-volume processing environment.
· Highly organized to prioritize and keep multiple requests in motion to meet 24-48 hours processing metrics.
· General understanding of plan document language to ensure proper handling of requests
· Experience working with recordkeepers Empower, Voya, John Hancock, Principal, TransAmerica a plus.
· Outstanding verbal and written communication skills for top-notch customer service.
· Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications, including Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.
· A keen eye for detail, compliance, and accuracy.
· Self-starters and own their body of work.
