Introduction

We're looking for a hands-on Mechanical Engineering Manager to lead a team of 7 mechanical engineers while remaining deeply involved in the technical work. This is a true player/coach role for someone who wants to design, build, test, and troubleshoot alongside their team—not simply delegate and manage from a distance.

You'll help set technical direction while contributing directly to mechanical design, CAD, prototyping, debugging, and product development. You'll lead by example, solve complex engineering problems, and help the team build reliable, production-ready robotic systems.

What You'll Do

  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of 7 mechanical engineers while remaining an active technical contributor.
  • Work hands-on in CAD, mechanical design, prototyping, testing, and troubleshooting.
  • Own complex mechanical problems and drive solutions from concept through validation and production.
  • Review designs, challenge technical assumptions, and maintain a high bar for engineering quality.
  • Drive improvements in reliability, performance, manufacturability, and design for assembly.
  • Partner cross-functionally with software, electrical engineering, manufacturing, and supply chain to resolve issues and scale production.
  • Balance technical execution, team development, and project priorities.

What You have:

  • Degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
  • Strong experience designing and developing complex mechanical systems, electromechanical products, or robotic hardware.
  • Deep technical expertise in CAD, prototyping, testing, and mechanical troubleshooting.
  • Experience leading engineers while remaining directly involved in engineering execution.
  • Track record of bringing physical products from prototype through production.
  • Strong understanding of design for manufacturing, tolerance analysis, and mechanical reliability.
  • A low-ego, hands-on leadership style and a willingness to dive into the details to solve difficult problems.

What Makes You Successful

You're an engineer at heart who enjoys solving hard problems and building great products. You lead by doing, coach through technical collaboration, and know when to dive into the details versus empower your team. You care about both the quality of the engineering and the success of the people doing it.

At 10Beauty, we consider a wide-range of factors when determining compensation, based on individual qualifications, skills, and experience. Equity and benefits are included for all full-time employees. If you believe you can contribute to our team, we invite you to apply. We appreciate diversity and welcome those who can bring fresh perspectives and skills to our team.

Salary Range

$175,000 - $190,000 USD

We are an equal opportunity employer and value diversity at our company.  We do not discriminate on the basis of race, religion, color, national origin, gender, sexual orientation, age, marital status, veteran status, or disability status.

Thank you for considering 10Beauty!
