We’re looking for an experienced and people-focused Optical Office Manager to lead the day-to-day operations of SVO. In this role, you’ll partner closely with our optometrist, support and coach a team of opticians, and ensure every patient experience reflects the care and customer-first mindset we’re known for.

What you’ll do
- Ensure that all patients and staff are given world-class customer service and support
- Successfully run an optical office
- Partner with the Optometrist and drive the success of the clinic
- Develop and train new optical associates
- Oversee cooperative efforts with Seekwell company FDA research
- Organize corporate events
- Maintain machines and software used in the office
- Coach opticians and encourage professional growth
- Maintain and re-order frame inventory with brand reps in person and online
- Assist with all optician responsibilities as needed, including pre-exams, assist with eyeglass styling & fittings, and assist with training patients with the insertion and removal of contact lenses, etc.
- Use electronic health records software to place orders, make appointments, creating invoices, receive payments, contact patients, and uphold all HIPPA compliances
What you'll need
- 5+ years of management experience or technical optical experience
- American Board of Orthodontics Doctor Certification (ABO) is preferred
- Experience with scheduling, budgeting, and inventory management
- Good communication skills to interact with employees and all staff (verbal, written, listening)
- Strong knowledge of electronic health record (EHR) computer systems, OPD, Visual Field, OPTOS, Tonometry, and OCT machines
- Strong knowledge of eyeglass lenses, how to complete successful quality inspection of lenses
- Strong knowledge of insurance application, and billing
- Proficient knowledge of Windows (Word, Excel and Outlook)
