Why you want this job
As the DC Facility Technician I, you are a self-starter and troubleshooting expert that can work under pressure to get equipment back up and running. You will oversee all maintenance and facility aspects of the distribution center including preventative and reactive maintenance of equipment, building and grounds.
Schedule:
- Monday - Friday 9am – 5pm
- May include occasional start time as early as 6am (example - Quarterly PM’s)
- On call availability Mon - Friday 5pm-8pm and Sunday’s 9am -7 pm
What you’ll do
- Perform entry-level repairs on doors, locks, shelving, light fixtures, and plumbing systems and also maintain the cleanliness of the Parking lots and furniture.
- Proficient with hand and power tools (drills, wrenches, screwdrivers, saws, etc.).
- Perform visual inspections and become familiar and knowledgeable with the machines to perform basic Maintenance/repairs and PM's (e.g., tray formers, box sealers, conveyor systems, sortation system, dock levelers, pallet jacks, etc.)
- Replace light bulbs, reset breakers, use electrical testing equipment
- Unclog drains, fix leaks, faucet repair/replace and assist with pipe repairs.
- Assist in inspecting and maintaining forklifts, pallet jacks, and other material handling systems.
Qualifications:
- Industrial maintenance experience
- Ability to lift 50 pounds
- Ability to stand and walk for extended periods of time
- Ability to safely climb, bend, reach, stoop, kneel, and stretch for extended periods of time
- Ability to safely use ladders, other industrial equipment, PPE and LOTO to complete job functions
(Preferred but not always required)
- Forklift Operation Training (We provide the training)
- Basic First Aid/CPR (We provide the training)
Skills:
- Experience troubleshooting, repairing, and installing motors, gearboxes, pneumatic and hydraulic systems, automation equipment and belt conveyance systems
- Experience troubleshooting and repairing A/DC electrical systems, reading schematics, using electrical testing equipment
- Understanding of industrial motor control and Programmable Logic Controllers
- Experience utilizing computerized maintenance management software for parts inventory, work documentation, and preventative maintenance scheduling
- Experience repairing electrical and mechanical systems
- Experience with vendor contract negotiations
- Familiarity with entering or updating tasks in a CMMS or maintenance ticketing system. (Maintain X)
- Basic ability to check, send, and receive work-related emails or messages.

United States Remote Salary Range
$50,000 - $80,000 USD
