
Sr. Director, Marketing
The Senior Director of Marketing is a key leadership role responsible for implementing and executing the company’s marketing and communication strategies to strengthen competitive positioning within the defense industry. This role oversees marketing campaigns, internal communications, public relations, digital presence, and brand reputation, ensuring alignment with corporate objectives and regulatory requirements. The Senior Director brings knowledge of investor communications, executive messaging, and compliance. They collaborate with cross-functional teams to deliver measurable marketing outcomes and support corporate growth initiatives.
Essential Functions
- Marketing Strategy & Execution
- Implement marketing strategies in alignment with corporate and defense-sector objectives.
- Develop and manage brand messaging, campaign planning, and content strategy.
- Monitor industry trends and competitor activities and collaborate with key stakeholders on actionable recommendations to improve positioning and engagement.
- Support internal communications to drive employee engagement and organizational alignment.
- External Marketing & Communications
- Oversee integrated marketing campaigns targeting government and commercial customers, industry partners, and other stakeholders.
- Manage external communications including media relations, public affairs coordination, and trade show execution.
- Ensure messaging complies with ITAR, EAR, DoD, and other defense and commercial communication standards.
- Internal Communications
- Collaborate with HR and leadership to deliver clear and timely internal communications.
- Support organizational initiatives, change management, and leadership messaging efforts.
- Team Leadership
- Lead, develop, and mentor the marketing team, ensuring high performance and accountability. Create performance metrics, align roles to best support the strategic direction of marketing and business development
- Manage marketing budgets, resources, and external vendors.
- Promote a culture of collaboration, innovation, and continuous improvement.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Regular and reliable attendance on a full-time basis [or in accordance with posted schedule].
- Responsible for exhibiting professional behavior with both internal and external business associates that reflects positively on the company and is consistent with the company's policies and practices.

Competencies Qualifications and Competencies
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret level Security clearance (US Citizenship required)
- Familiarity with public-company communications and disclosure requirements.
- Proven track record in executing integrated marketing campaigns.
- Strong leadership, communication, and stakeholder-management skills.
- Knowledge of digital marketing, content strategy, and modern communication and technology platforms.
- Strong analytical and market research skills.
- Exceptional ability to work in a fast-paced environment and manage multiple priorities.
- Must be able to handle sensitive and, where applicable, classified information in accordance with program requirements.

Education / Certifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, Business, or related field required.
- Master’s Degree preferred.
Experience
- 8–12+ years of progressive marketing experience.
- 3–5+ years of experience in leadership roles.
- Experience in the defense industry, commercial sector, or national security sector.
- Experience with government affairs/public affairs collaborations.
