This is an onsite position at MacDill AFB.
Job Overview
Designs, develops, tests, and maintains software applications and systems. Leads or mentors junior developers and collaborates with cross-functional teams to deliver high-quality software solutions. Utilizes advanced programming skills and best practices to solve complex technical problems and improve software performance. May participate in architecture design and code reviews.
Essential Functions
- Serve as a lead technical expert in designing, developing, and optimizing ITSM tool solutions (ServiceNow) for complex Configuration Change Management (CCM) processes for the C2ISR transport program.
- Lead the architectural design and development of enterprise-level CCM capabilities within the ITSM platform, ensuring scalability, security, and integration across diverse C2ISR infrastructure environments.
- Architect and implements advanced integrations between the ITSM tool and critical C2ISR systems (e.g., RMF tools, network configuration managers, deployment orchestration platforms) to automate change execution and enhance traceability.
- Drive the development of custom applications, portals, and dashboards that provide intuitive interfaces and comprehensive insights for managing configuration changes, engineering requests, and compliance metrics.
- Establish development best practices, coding standards, workflows and quality assurance processes for all ITSM tool enhancements, ensuring maintainability, performance, and adherence to security guidelines.
- Mentor junior and journeyman ITSM tool developers on advanced platform development, integration patterns, and best practices for creating robust CCM solutions.
- Function as a technical expert across multiple high-impact CCM assignments, guiding implementation teams, and contributing to the strategic evolution of the ITSM tool's CCM capabilities.

Qualifications
- Excellent understanding of JavaScript, HTML, CSS, or other web development languages
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Attention to detail and documentation discipline
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
Education / Certifications
- Bachelor's Degree Required, Masters Degree Preferred
- ServiceNow Certified Developer & Administrator certification
- Must complete DoD-approved IA baseline certification for ADP-III/IT-III based on the IAT level and CE/Operating System (OS) certificate within six months of the assignment.
Experience
- 10+ years of experience in software development
