THE ROLE
We are looking for a data-driven Creative Strategy Manager who will own creative development across our growth marketing channels (e.g. Meta, TikTok, YouTube) and ensure we are constantly iterating and testing new content. This role is equal parts creative and analytical, bridging the gap between our Growth team and our internal and external creative partners. This role will be key to unlocking aggressive business growth by helping us deliver the right creative and messaging to potential customers at the right time. Channels include, but are not limited to, paid social, YouTube, display, programmatic and partnerships across both ad and landing page creative. This role will report to our Senior Director, Brand, Creative & Activation, and work cross-collaboratively with growth marketing, creative, brand, and digital product.
The ideal candidate brings a passion for developing effective ad creative and solving growth challenges, while also demonstrating the ability to think analytically and make data-driven decisions.
WHAT YOU’LL DO
- Own the development cycle of best-in-class performance creative content from start to finish. This includes, but is not limited to: owning our testing/iteration roadmap, writing briefs, developing hooks, script writing, facilitating content production, and leveraging creative results to inform future testing. The scope of this role covers ad as well ad landing page creative.
- Transform creative performance and insights into codified learnings and actionable next steps that align with our results-driven content strategy and internal Creative Playbook.
- Map out Growth team’s content needs across various channels, brainstorm ideas for new creative, deliver detailed briefs to creative partners, manage production schedule and ensure timely delivery of effective, attention-getting assets.
- Manage internal and external partners such as creative agencies, in-house and freelance designers, copywriters, project managers, content creators, and influencers to source and develop content for use across growth marketing channels.
- Own all creative reporting, constantly keeping up to date with the performance of assets to inform decision making and iterations. Research and benchmark ad creatives from other brands and keep the team up-to-date on creative trends in the market.
- Coordinate with our Partnerships/Influencer team to identify relevant influencers and help secure content usage rights to promote across paid channels (whitelisting).
- Utilize customer insights to develop content frameworks that address pain points and support the customer journey across our various personas; deliver the right message to the right people.
- Collaborate with our Brand team to ensure our content always aligns with our brand initiatives and positioning while informing the organization about what is working across performance/growth creative.
- Develop, document and store content, briefs and agreements in an organized and retrievable manner.
- Manage legal and licensing agreements related to content in coordination with our Legal team.
WHAT WE'RE LOOKING FOR
- 3-5 years of in-house or top-tier agency experience with a proven track record of leading performance creative strategy across paid media channels (Meta, YouTube). DTC experience strongly preferred.
- Experience in setting up creative testing frameworks across different channels, leveraging the right KPIs and guardrails to inform decision making.
- Deep understanding of growth marketing channels and creative best practices.
- Ability to develop hooks and write performance based scripts in German and ideally English. Fluent in German (spoken and written) and strong English skills (spoken & written).
- The ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment with a consistent “can-do” attitude. You see ambiguity as a challenge and not a deterrent.
- A proven interest in broader cultural conversation across social media around key topic areas: health and wellness, sports, social trends, memes, etc.
- Constant stream of creative ideas, and a demonstrated track record of facilitating and bringing them to life.
- Proven analytical ability - you can digest data and turn insights into actionable creative strategy that drives growth. You are comfortable operating across spreadsheets and storyboards.
- A process-oriented builder: Can identify team needs and help develop workflows from the ground up.
- Strong attention to detail and a proven ability to manage multiple work streams at once.
- Strong interpersonal, written communication, and organizational skills.

AG1 is dedicated to providing equitable and competitive compensation & benefits packages. For this particular role, the base salary range is €54,900 - €76,500 and will ultimately be decided at the offer stage, based on an individual candidate’s level of skills and experience aligned with the needs of this role. Base salary is one component of total compensation for this position. We provide a competitive mix of base salary, performance bonus, and stock option allocation for eligible roles.
