AGE Solutions is seeking a Senior AI/ML Process Engineer to support our DoD customer in modernizing Risk Management Framework (RMF) processes through automation, artificial intelligence, and emerging technologies.

This position will help identify, evaluate, and recommend opportunities to leverage Artificial Intelligence (AI), Machine Learning (ML), Generative AI, Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and intelligent document processing technologies to improve the speed, accuracy, and efficiency of cybersecurity and risk management operations.

The successful candidate will work closely with process engineers, cybersecurity professionals, and government stakeholders to assess current workflows and develop innovative solutions that accelerate RMF execution and reduce manual effort.

Responsibilities Include:

  • Conduct analysis of RMF-related business processes and identify opportunities for AI-enabled modernization.
  • Evaluate emerging technologies including Generative AI, Machine Learning, Large Language Models (LLMs), Natural Language Processing (NLP), and intelligent document processing.
  • Assess opportunities to automate cybersecurity and RMF activities, including:
    • Control assessments
    • Evidence reviews
    • STIG development and maintenance
    • Ticket triage
    • Connection package reviews
    • Cross Domain risk analysis
  • Collaborate with process engineers to develop future-state workflows incorporating AI and automation technologies.
  • Support development of implementation roadmaps and modernization strategies.
  • Research commercial and government AI capabilities applicable to RMF and cybersecurity operations.
  • Develop executive briefings, white papers, recommendations, and technical documentation.
  • Support pilot initiatives and proof-of-concept activities.
  • Assist with workflow automation initiatives using ServiceNow, Jira, RPA, and related technologies.

Required Skills, Qualifications and Experience:

  • Education:
    • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, Computer Science, Information Systems, Business, or related discipline.
  • Experience:
    • 15 Years of experience with a minimum of (5) years’ experience in process improvement, business process analysis, cybersecurity operations, AI/ML technologies, or digital transformation initiatives.
    • Experience evaluating or implementing AI, ML, Generative AI, NLP, or intelligent automation solutions.
    • Experience conducting technical analysis and developing recommendations for process improvement initiatives.
  • Security Clearance:
    • Must have a current DoD Secret Clearance.
  • Certifications:
    • Must have a Current DoD 8570/8140 compliant certification (Security+, CAP, CISSP, CISM, or equivalent).
      • Additional role-specific certifications in process improvement, automation, AI/ML, or cybersecurity are highly desired.
  • Skills and Knowledge:
    • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft Visio, including process modeling, BPMN, swim-lane diagrams, and workflow analysis.
    • Demonstrated proficiency with Microsoft PowerPoint and executive-level presentation development.
    • Working knowledge of DoD RMF, NIST SP 800-37, NIST SP 800-53, CNSSI-1253, and DoDI 8500.01/8510.01.
    • Familiarity with STIG/SRG/CCI development, A&A processes, Cloud A&A processes, or cloud cybersecurity architecture.
    • Working knowledge of workflow automation technologies including ServiceNow, Jira, and Robotic Process Automation (RPA).
    • Knowledge of AI/ML concepts, LLMs, Generative AI, NLP, and intelligent document processing technologies.
    • Strong analytical, research, technical writing, and problem-solving skills.
  • Location:
    • This is a hybrid position. Must be able to travel periodically to Fort Meade, MD and Chambersburg, PA to support customer meetings, workshops, and program activities.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience supporting DISA, DoD, or federal cybersecurity programs.
  • Experience with Azure AI, AWS AI/ML services, OpenAI, Anthropic, or similar enterprise AI platforms.
  • Familiarity with AI governance, responsible AI principles, and cybersecurity applications of AI.
  • Experience developing strategic technology roadmaps and modernization recommendations.
  • Certifications in cloud-based Artificial Intelligence (AI) and Machine Learning (ML) technologies, including AWS Certified AI Practitioner, Microsoft Azure AI Fundamentals, Azure AI Engineer Associate, AWS Machine Learning Specialty, or equivalent credentials highly preferred.
  • Lean Six Sigma certification or process improvement experience.

The projected salary range for this position is $170,000+ annually. Final compensation will be determined based on factors including years of relevant experience, active security clearance level, certifications, technical skillset, contract requirements, and overall qualifications.
