A Snapshot
As the Solutions Engineer reporting to the Director, Solutions Engineering, you will work closely with the rest of the Technology – Technical Solutions team, as well as the Head of Customer Success, making your mark in a number of ways:
- Support the team by learning and understanding the customer technical, commercial and operational requirements, ensuring business alignment
- Help to drive the delivery of the customer solution and product through the complete data centre cycle from proposal to contract execution
- Support translating customer requirements into key design projects of our data centres in the APAC region and in preparing presentations to customers and executives.
Your Day to Day
- Provide support to the Solutions Team in the RFP proposal and deliver key technical / engineering documents
- Provide support in production of key technical and sales collateral – High Level M&E Schematic and Technical presentation materials
- Assist in high-level space planning and engineering solutions for our customers
- Involved in pioneering various engineering solutions relating to design, calculations and other engineering aspects
- Assist in the development of Computational Fluid Dynamics (CFD)
- Support in preparing pitch decks, presentation packs and collateral for customers and executives
- Support the connectivity team working with carriers in the region
Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree/Diploma in Engineering, Commerce, Finance or STEM related fields
- 3-5 years experience in engineering, consultancy with a preference of data centre experience.
- Fluent in MS Office (Power Point, Word, Excel) and good knowledge of BlueBeam and Basic AutoCad
- Basic knowledge of CFD is an advantage but not required – this only applies if you’re mechanical trade
- Analytical mindset
- Good technical writing, documentation, and communication skills
- Good business acumen, negotiation and stakeholder management skills
- Willing to learn, good attitude and proactive
