Tax Manager

A key opportunity has arisen for a motivated and result-driven Tax Manager to join one of the most prominent APAC infrastructure data center business with operations across Asia and Australia. Based in our Sydney office, you will play a crucial role in managing the tax compliance and reporting obligations across APAC with a focus in Australia. Working closely with the Senior Tax Manager, you will be part of many exciting & dynamic business expansion initiatives. You will make your mark in a rapidly growing business with your positive attitude, ability to drive results independently, and adaptability in a dynamic environment.
Your Day to Day
In this role, your day-to-day responsibilities will include:
- Manage direct and indirect tax compliance obligations for the Australian group;
- Manage jurisdictional transfer pricing documentation, local and master files, and relevant Country-by-country reporting requirements across the APAC group;
- Work closely with the wider Finance team in planning & implementing an effective reporting solution for Pillar 2;
- Establish tax forecast process to enable continuous monitoring of the group’s tax positions including regional effective tax rate and available carry-forwards;
- Assist in the implementation and monitoring of the APAC group's transfer pricing policies for all intra-group dealings, including services, financing, and asset transactions;
- Collaborate with the wider business functions to implement a robust & long terms tax fixed asset register solution;
- Review interim & annual tax effective accounting calculations for the APAC region;
- Assist with tax authorities audits and reviews;
- Assist in the maintenance and enhancement of the company's tax risk management framework and governance policies;
- Provide support on the execution and implementation of acquisition, divestment, and internal restructuring transactions;
- Collaborate with various internal stakeholders, including finance, legal, and operations teams, to provide tax input and ensure alignment on business initiatives;
- Stay abreast of changes in Australian and international tax legislation, including transfer pricing developments, and effectively communicate their impact to the broader business;
- Driving continuous process improvements and recommend opportunities in efficiencies
- Establishing a framework for data analytics;
Requirements
- 5-10 years experience in a similar tax role;
- Appropriate professional qualifications (CA or equivalent, Solicitor’s admission etc);
- Proven ability to work independently to execute on strategic priorities; and
- A growth mindset.
