A Snapshot

As an Associate Data Analyst in the Market Intelligence team, you will support the team’s data collation, cleaning, and automation efforts across AirTrunk’s APAC and EMEA markets. Working alongside the Data Analyst and reporting to the Manager, Market Intelligence & Strategy, you will focus on building reliable, reproducible data pipelines and maintaining the datasets that underpin AirTrunk’s competitive intelligence and market strategy.

This is an excellent opportunity for someone early in their career who is technically strong in Python and data manipulation, eager to learn the data centre industry, and wants to develop market intelligence skills in a fast-paced hyperscale environment.

Your Day to Day

  • Data Collation & Cleaning: Support the end-to-end lifecycle of competitor, market, and site data. Clean, validate, and standardise datasets from multiple structured and unstructured sources to meet AirTrunk’s Source of Truth standards.
  • Pipeline Development & Automation: Build and maintain Python-based data pipelines to automate ingestion, cleaning, and transformation of market and competitor data. Reduce manual effort and improve reproducibility.
  • Competitive Intelligence Support: Assist in collating and structuring data on competitor footprints, expansion patterns, and capacity across APAC markets. Cross-reference datasets and flag inconsistencies or updates.
  • Dashboard & Reporting Support: Help build and maintain visual dashboards and structured reports in Power BI or Excel that provide stakeholders with clear, up-to-date market views.
  • AI-Assisted Workflows: Explore and implement AI-powered tools (Copilot, ChatGPT Enterprise, etc.) to streamline data processing and improve team productivity. Document approaches and share learnings.
  • Cross-Functional Coordination: Work with internal teams to source data inputs and ensure data quality standards are maintained across shared datasets.

Requirements

  • Degree or Diploma in Data Science, Computer Science, Statistics, Engineering, or relevant field. Recent graduates welcome.
  • 0–2 years of experience in data analytics, data engineering, or a related field. Strong internship experience is valued.
  • Python Proficiency: Demonstrated ability to write clean, reproducible Python code for data manipulation, cleaning, and automation. Experience with standard libraries (csv, json, re) and/or pandas.
  • Data Quality Mindset: Careful attention to data accuracy, consistency, and documentation. You understand that clean data is foundational to good analysis.
  • Excel & SQL: Comfortable with Excel for data manipulation and at least working knowledge of SQL for querying databases.
  • AI & Productivity Tools: Familiarity with AI tools (ChatGPT, Copilot, etc.) and a willingness to experiment with them for data tasks.
  • Communication: Ability to document your work clearly and communicate findings to team members. You don’t need to present to leadership yet, but you need to write things down well.

(Preferred)

  • Experience with Power BI, Tableau, or similar visualisation tools.
  • Exposure to geospatial data or GIS concepts.
  • Familiarity with APIs, web scraping, or ETL pipelines.
  • Interest in infrastructure, real estate, energy, or the data centre industry.
  • Experience working with Jupyter notebooks or similar reproducible analysis environments.
