Your Impact
As Senior Commercial Manager based in our HQ in Sydney, you will report to the Associate Commercial Director and work closely with teams and leadership across APJ, making your mark in a number of ways:
- You will lead commercial strategy across large-scale, high-profile hyperscale data centre developments
- You will influence key commercial, contractual, and risk decisions across a rapidly growing regional platform
- You will shape and elevate commercial frameworks, governance, and best practice at scale
What you’ll do
- Provide expert leadership, guidance and advice to support the delivery teams in all aspects of commercial and contract issues across the entire lifecycle of our data centre developments
- Lead commercial strategy and performance across multiple projects
- Negotiate and manage complex contracts, both domestically and internationally, including supplier relationships and commercial processes
- Lead cost management, forecasting, and cashflow projections across a regional portfolio
- Manage commercial portfolio risk and resolve commercial claims and disputes in a creative manner, balancing both parties’ objectives and the long-term implications of changes or solutions
- Drive governance, reporting and continuous improvement initiatives aimed at increasing time and costs efficiencies of the delivery of our data centres
- Partner with a wide range of stakeholders including Development, Finance & Treasury, Legal, and other AirTrunk teams to optimise delivery outcomes across our data centre developments
- Travel to data centre sites both domestic and internationally for project initiation, project reviews and audits, constructability reviews, commissioning, project close out, and the like as required.
What you’ll bring
- 12+ years’ experience in commercial roles within data centre construction, engineering, or infrastructure
- Proven delivery of complex, high-value projects across full lifecycle
- Degree in Law, Quantity Surveying, Engineering, or similar
- Strong expertise in contract negotiation, cost management, and risk
- Excellent stakeholder management, communication, and influencing skills
- Commercially astute, proactive, and outcome-driven
