Your Impact
As the Corporate Development Associate, you will report to the Corporate Development Manager and work closely with the rest of the Capital & Strategy team, making your mark in a number of ways:
- You will engage in all aspects of assessing corporate development activity including industry analysis, conducting due diligence, financial assessments, funding strategy, approvals and execution
- You will identify key corporate development activities across the APAC region
What you'll do
- Undertake detailed financial analysis of various activities across the business including new customer opportunities, new site opportunities, new market opportunities as well as funding alternatives
- Partner with the Managing Director of Capital & Strategy, VP of Investment Capital & Strategy, VP of Treasury and Corporate Development Manager in considering appropriate sources of funding, funding options and appropriate allocation of capital for both organic and inorganic growth within the business
- Assist in undertaking business planning activities, assessing international expansion markets, target customers and medium-term
- Assist in the negotiation of transaction terms and legal documentation, including for financing and corporate development activities
- Industry research and benchmarking analysis across domestic and international peers
What you'll bring
- You have a minimum 2.5 years’ experience in investment banking (debt or M&A advisory), strategy consulting, Big 4 Accounting (M&A or transaction services), or in-house corporate development / strategy
- You have a Bachelor’s degree in business/Commerce/Law or similar
- You have strong analytical skills and fluency in performing rigorous financial, valuation and broad quantitative analyses
- You are adept with technology and a strategic thinker – you know what’s best for the business
- You have excellent judgment and mature personality
- You are a team player, pro-active and action oriented, you anticipate needs, are assertive, and are highly accountable
