A Snapshot 

As Operations Governance Manager, you will report to the Director of Operations Governance and work closely with various teams and leadership across the Asia Pacific region, making your mark in a number of ways: 

  • You will work closely with key business teams to drive, structure, and deliver key data centre operational excellence, governance and compliance initiatives across the APJ region. 
  • You will advise on and shape data centre operational excellence and assurance  throughout AirTrunk, including the initiation and delivery of new build sites, ensuring compliance from a risk management perspective to enable the rapid expansion of AirTrunk data centre developments across APJ. 
  • You will be able to hone new skills and expertise in related workstreams as required, including risk management, business continuity, and emergency response, developing an in-depth knowledge of AirTrunk’s operations and providing strategic operational initiatives. 

 

Duties and Responsibilities   

  • Management of data centre operational excellence, governance and controls. 
  • Support the development and implementation of consistent operational practices across regions and sites. 
  • Identify opportunities to improve operational processes, procedures, controls and supporting tools. 
  • Monitor recurring findings and trends to determine whether broader organisational improvements are required. 
  • Assist and support assurance activities for all operating sites including; external, internal, client, certification and insurer assurance.   
  • Management of DC sites’ assurance, measuring and monitoring adherence to operational process and procedures.  Give feedback to sites on common shortcomings and risk consequence. 
  • Coordinate and undertake Severity 1 drills for DC sites, following up on identified lessons learnt and improvements. 
  • Lead or support improvement initiatives arising from assurance findings, incidents, drills, controlled self-assessments and lessons learned. 
  • Monitor and support site teams in the delivery of their Business Continuity, Emergency response and any other required resiliency planning. 
  • Monitor nominated document owners and managers, in timely review and update of their business unit relevant documentation and keep the Governance owned frameworks and policies up to date for review in consultation with stakeholders.  
  • Support Operations teams in identifying and understanding relevant regulatory, statutory, certification and internal compliance obligations. 
  • Work with relevant subject matter experts to assess changes in regulatory or compliance requirements that may impact Data Centre Operations. 
  • Assessment and tracking of DC sites operational risk, working with site teams to effectively manage, control and/or mitigate these risks. 

 

Requirements  

  • Relevant tertiary qualification or equivalent professional experience in operations, engineering, risk, compliance, governance, quality or a related discipline. 
  • Demonstrated experience in operational governance, assurance, compliance, risk management or operational excellence. 
  • Experience working within a critical infrastructure, data centre, engineering, utilities, facilities management or similarly high-reliability operational environment. 
  • Strong understanding of operational risk and control principles. 
  • Demonstrated ability to analyse complex operational issues and identify systemic risks and improvement opportunities. 
  • Ability to travel regularly across operational sites within the APAC region. 
  • Excellent stakeholder management skills, attention to detail, and the ability to create and direct cross-functional group forums for managing risks.
