
Associate Product Manager

We are seeking a highly motivated and passionate Associate Product Manager (APM) to join our dynamic Product Management team. This role is ideal for a recent college graduate with a foundational understanding of the life sciences/biotech industry and strong business acumen. The APM will support the product lifecycle from conception through commercialization, gaining hands-on experience in strategy, market analysis, and launch execution. This is a unique opportunity to work with innovative technology in the high-growth field of proteomics.
Responsibilities:
- Investigate market prices for similar products and platforms, conducting detailed cost analysis to support competitive and profitable pricing strategies.
- Analyze sales data, market trends, customer insights, and financial projections (e.g., ROI, P&L statements) to guide strategic product decisions and forecasts.
- Proactively research and assess competitor offerings, positioning, technology differentiation, and pricing to refine Alamar’s product strategy.
- Develop, track, and report on key performance indicators (KPIs) and OKRs to measure product success, identifying areas for optimization.
- Assist in developing and executing comprehensive go-to-market strategies for product launches across Alamar’s portfolio, including coordinating activities across R&D, Marketing, and Sales.
- Build and maintain tools, resources, and training materials (e.g., battle cards, sales guides, presentations) to equip the commercial and sales teams to deliver best-in-class products to the customer.
- Support customer interviews, surveys, and feedback sessions to gather actionable insights that inform product requirements and feature prioritization.
- Assist in creating and managing critical product documentation, including market requirement documents (MRDs), product specifications, and lifecycle management reports.
Required Qualifications:
- A Bachelor's degree in Business/Marketing, with a demonstrated interest in the biotech/life sciences industry.
- 1+ years of relevant professional experience in a commercial type role (business analytics, product management or related).
- Prior experience or coursework in financial modeling, forecasting, or market research.
- Familiarity with standard product management frameworks.
- Demonstrated interest in pursuing a long-term career in product management in the life sciences or biotech industry.
- Strong verbal and written communication skills
- Proficient in Microsoft Office (Excel for data analysis and financial modeling, PowerPoint for presentations, Word for documentation).
- Must be a proactive, self-starter with confidence in delivering presentations, a positive "can do" attitude, and strong critical thinking skills.
The base salary range for this full-time position is $80,000 - $85,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by work location, job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training. The ranges displayed on each job posting reflect the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries but are subject to change if the leveling of the role is adjusted.
