We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Jira Architecture/Analyst to join our team. This individual will have a deep understanding of Jira’s structure and data and will play a critical role in designing, implementing, and optimizing Jira to support organizational needs. The successful candidate will partner with the PMO Process & Tools Lead to provide strategic thought leadership and technical expertise, ensuring Jira is configured to meet specific business use cases, reduce administrative overhead, and deliver efficient solutions.
Key Responsibilities:
Strategic Guidance & Recommendations: Provide thought leadership on Jira architecture and solutions, recommending the best approaches to structure Jira based on specific use cases, including workflows, issue types, attributes, custom fields, issue links, and automation capabilities.
Solution Implementation & Optimization: Collaborate with the PMO Process & Tools Lead to develop actionable strategies for solving problems and improving Jira's usage, ensuring seamless integration and streamlined workflows across teams.
Documentation Creation: Develop and maintain Jira implementation documentation, providing clear guidelines for implementation teams to follow during execution.
Testing & Demos: Lead testing and conduct demos of new Jira functionality in a development environment. Work with implementation teams to validate features and refine configurations before migrating to production systems.
Data Migration & Backfill: Map out and guide the migration and data backfill requirements for new functionality being migrated to the production environment. Address critical requirements such as mandatory fields and impact on reporting for existing tickets.
Collaboration with Jira Admin Team: Work closely with the central Jira admin team to ensure recommendations and implementations are aligned with organization-wide expectations and best practices.
Use Cases & Solutions:
Change Control Management: Develop and implement solutions to improve change control processes within Jira, ensuring efficient tracking and management.
Scope Definition Documentation: Design and implement workflows and structures for documenting scope definitions within Jira.
Polarion Integration Workflow Design: Assist in the design and configuration of Polarion integration workflows for milestone tracking, ensuring seamless data exchange.
Risk Register: Create and maintain risk register functionality within Jira to ensure accurate tracking and reporting of risks.
Delivery Reporting Enhancements: Enhance Jira’s reporting capabilities, including improving burndown charts, tracking progress per feature, and supporting milestone-based delivery reporting.
Qualifications:
Proven experience as a Jira Architect, Jira Analyst, or similar role, with a deep understanding of Jira's structure and data.
Strong experience with Jira’s issue types, attributes, custom fields, workflows, and automation capabilities.
Expertise in creating and managing Jira documentation and implementation guidelines.
Familiarity with Jira testing and demonstration processes, including working with dev environments to refine configurations before production migration.
Experience in data migration, backfill requirements, and mapping workflows for Jira implementations.
Strong collaboration skills to work effectively with cross-functional teams and Jira administrators.
Experience with use cases such as change control management, scope documentation, risk tracking, and delivery reporting is highly desirable.
Knowledge of Polarion integration and milestone tracking workflows is a plus.

Ability to provide strategic recommendations and guide complex Jira implementations.
Attention to detail and the ability to manage multiple priorities effectively.
Education:
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, Business, or a related field (or equivalent experience).
Salary Range: $100-130k
