Sensor Integration Engineer
Onsite in Foster City, CA | 4 days in office
Travel within the Bay Area will be required
The person working on this will ensure that we can have a validate sensor cleaning system in order to trust those cameras, Lidars and sensors to operate consistently in different weather conditions and within specifications on all vehicles in our public road fleet. ensuring a proper solution, developing a robust test plan, and integrating the fully validated solution to the vehicle, will improve the quality and consistency of the sensors running, factory line, reduce supply chain yield losses, improve drive comfort and reduce downtime of the vehicles.
Responsibilities:
- Diagnose and troubleshoot fleet issues impacting system performance
- Support wind tunnel and fleet testing of SCM function
- Support hardware/system level testing activities as needed. Write test plan, design internal test fixture, execute testing and report test result.
Required Skills:
- Mechanical Engineering/Electrical Engineering or related background BS with 2 years work experience is minimum.
- Experience with 2D/3D in solidworks, Catia, or UG NX
- Able to read/interpret engineering test standards.
- Familiarity with data acquisition tools
- Hands on experience and troubleshoot mechanical/electrical failure
- Basic understanding of Python or other scripting languages.
Bonus skills:
- Familiar with automotive standards such as FMVSS, ISO, IEC test standards
- Hands on experiences with thermocouples, strain gauge, pressure transducer, accelerometers, etc
- Able to use CAN tool, eg: PCAN, Vector to troubleshoot vehicle faults.
- Experience with hydraulic and pneumatic systems
Salary Range: $110,000-$120,000/K
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
