
Mechanical Engineer II

As Mechanical Engineer II you will be responsible for;
- Develop and test mechanical designs, including trade studies, concept and detailed designs, BOMs, drawings, engineering calculations, tolerance analysis, and associated documentation.
- Implement and maintain scoped product or system features with minimal guidance.
- Apply engineering principles and standard tools to execute product designs.
- Utilize analysis tools to verify design concepts.
- Assemble, test, and evaluate prototypes for functionality and performance.
- Identify design and product risks, propose mitigations, and communicate scope changes to the project manager.
- Prepare and maintain engineering documentation to ensure compliance with regulatory requirements.
- Complete tasks within estimated timeframes (+/- 20%) and anticipate potential overruns.
- Participate in design reviews to ensure quality and adherence to standards.
- Demonstrate critical thinking and problem-solving within project-level engineering.
- Follow technical lead guidance and collaborate effectively within the team.
- Serve as a lead on small teams, providing mentorship and technical guidance to junior engineers.
- Review technical work of team members for accuracy and completeness.
- Collect, develop, and analyze design inputs.
- Contribute to project planning, estimation, budgeting, scheduling, and tracking.
Qualifications;
- Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering or a related technical field from an accredited institution.
- Minimum of 2 years of professional experience in mechanical design or related engineering roles.
- Strong understanding of mechanical design principles, tolerance analysis, and engineering calculations.
- Proficiency in CAD software and standard engineering tools.
- Experience with prototype assembly and testing.
Location: Fully Remote
Salary Range: $70,000 - $90,000
The actual salary offered is dependent on various factors including, but not limited to, location, the candidate’s combination of job-related knowledge, qualifications, skills, education, training, and experience
