Systems Analyst
Job Overview:
The Sr Application Systems Analyst provides application support of the Registration and Scheduling system. Perform functions of analysis, design, maintenance, and implementation of software upgrades. Works as a liaison between Business team and IT (Information Technology) team to assist in the selection of enhancements to be implemented for system performance and ease in workflow. Work with various teams to coordinate application upgrade cycle dates. Work closely with the testing team to ensure smooth and uneventful application upgrades. The Sr Application Systems Analyst will coordinate with project managers and business owners to implement small and medium projects successfully. Work closely with the Business team to implement Optimization changes successfully. The Sr Application Systems Analyst will act as a contact with the on-site software vendor’s resources. Will monitor and document performance of the software, make recommendations on solutions and work with multiple teams to maintain acceptable levels of system performance to the end user community.
Responsibilities:
- Work under the direction of the Manager to provide technical application solutions for assigned business areas.
- Possess technical knowledge of assigned application technology.
- Work with Business Analyst to understand the customer’s product-specific requirements and configuration and translate them to technical design specifications and data flow from which programs are developed and coded.
- Codes, tests, debugs, implements, and documents moderately complex programs or technical configuration.
- Ensure programs meet technical specifications and standards.
- Interact with Business Analysts during the software build or configuration and testing process.
- Perform technical application configuration and configure /run reports at user request.
- Design and execute unit, system and integration test plans for new developments/releases/reports.
- Maintain technical documentation based on standard operating procedures in support of the assigned application.
- Perform application maintenance activities
- Provide production support. Interface with Business Analyst to assist in resolving support calls escalated by the Service Desk.
- Identify the common causes of the defects, prioritize them and systematically remove them so that they do not reoccur in further development work.
- Participate in focus groups and workshops, attend vendor training and demonstrations.
- Experience with Cerner Soarian application is preferred. Excellent written and oral communication skills, including presentation skills.
- Strong analytical and problem solving abilities.
- Work closely with business analysts on the implementation of newly acquired practices.
- Analyze and solution incident and change order tickets within the required SLA’s (Service Level Agreement).
- Participate in focus groups and workshops, attend vendor training and demonstrations.
- Strong focus on customer service

Education and Experience:
Academic and professional qualifications
- BA or BS degree preferred or other relevant combination of training and experience.
Experience
- 5+ years practical experience in providing technical support and maintenance in assigned product
- Strong Microsoft suite knowledge ( Word, Excel, Project and Power Point)
- Agile

Salary Range
$85,000 - $100,000 USD
