About the Role

As a Strategic Account Manager at Altium, you will own end-to-end management of our most critical key accounts in China, acting as the primary orchestrator to align Altium’s SaaS-integrated EDA solutions with client strategic goals. You will drive revenue growth directly by deepening adoption, expanding footprints, and ensuring ROI realization through a project-managed approach to account governance.

Key Responsibilities

  1. Strategic Account Leadership
    • Develop and execute mid-long term account plans for assigned key accounts, mapping decision hierarchies and embedding Altium solutions into client R&D roadmaps.
    • Lead quarterly joint business reviews (JBRs) to track adoption metrics (e.g., license utilization, design win rates) and co-define value-acceleration initiatives.
  2. Project-Managed Client Lifecycle
    • Onboarding: Design tailored enablement programs (workshops, certification tracks) to accelerate time-to-value for SaaS tools like Altium 365.
    • Expansion: Identify upsell triggers and coordinate cross-functional pods (Product, CSM, FAE) to deliver integrated hardware-SaaS proposals.
    • Renewal: Mitigate churn risks via early-warning systems (usage analytics, NPS tracking) and preemptive solution pivots.
  3. Commercial Excellence
    • Negotiate ELA/CLM agreements with procurement, balancing margin protection and adoption incentives.
    • Utilize Salesforce/MEDDIC to document opportunity pipelines and risk registers at the PCB-design-project level.

Qualifications

  • Experience: 8+ years in semiconductor/EDA strategic sales, with proven success in managing $5M+ accounts.
  • Skills:
    • Project Management: PMP/Scrum certification preferred; fluency in Agile-account-planning methodologies.
    • Technical Acumen: Ability to articulate Altium Designer’s HDI capabilities versus Cadence/Mentor.
  • Traits: “Consultative seller” mindset with data-driven storytelling (e.g., ROI calculators for SaaS migration).
