ABOUT THE ROLE
As the Operations Associate, you will work directly with the Chief Operations Officer (COO). The Operations Associate will provide advanced-level administrative and project support to the COO, exercising excellent judgement and resourcefulness in all matters. The administrative work is complex in nature, including planning, coordinating, organising, designing presentations and producing work that requires a high level of discretion and confidentiality.
RESPONSIBILITIES
In this role, you will:
- Maintain strict confidentiality in handling sensitive information and communications.
- Create visually appealing and informative slide decks for various presentations and reports.
- Synthesise complex information from multiple sources into concise and clear formats.
- Manage projects across a range of teams and functions.
- Manage administrative tasks, including scheduling, email management, and document preparation.
- Conduct research and gather data to support decision-making processes.
- Uphold a high standard of professionalism in all interactions and communications.
- Provide meeting support by taking notes and following up on action items as needed.
- Collaborate with stakeholders at all levels (junior to C-Suite).
REQUIREMENTS
Essential
- At least 2 - 4 years of experience in a similar role .
- Proven experience in maintaining confidentiality in previous roles.
- Proficiency in creating compelling slide decks using presentation software (e.g., Google Slides, PowerPoint).
- Strong analytical and critical thinking skills, with the ability to synthesise information effectively.
- Exceptional organisational skills and high attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
- Ability to work independently and prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
- Tech-savvy with proficiency in Google Suite.
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience preferred.
- Project management skills.

EMPLOYMENT TYPE
This is a three-month internship, with the potential to transition into a full-time role based on performance.
WORK HOURS
The required work hours are 40 hours per week.

The selected candidates need to have the right to work in South Africa.
