Complex Claims Specialist - Comm/Ag

American National is hiring a Complex Claims Specialist to support our commercial business. In this role, you will be responsible for managing and resolving complex commercial/agricultural property claims. You will work closely with clients, adjusters, and other stakeholders to ensure timely and accurate claims settlements. Your deep understanding of commercial/agricultural insurance policies and your ability to handle intricate claims processes will be essential in providing exceptional service to our clients. 

What You’ll Do

• Investigate, evaluate, and manage high-value and complex commercial/agricultural claims from inception to resolution.
• Collaborate with clients, adjusters, legal teams, and other stakeholders to gather necessary information and documentation.
• Analyze policy coverage and determine the extent of liability.
• Negotiate settlements and ensure fair and equitable claims resolutions.
• Provide exceptional customer service and maintain strong client relationships.
• Prepare detailed reports and documentation for each claim.
• Mentor and provide guidance to junior claims specialists.
• Stay updated on industry trends, regulations, and best practices. 

  What You’ll Need 

• Bachelor’s degree in business, Insurance, or a related field
• Six to eight years of experience in commercial/agricultural property claims handling.
• Extensive knowledge of commercial/agricultural property insurance policies and coverage.
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
• Excellent communication and negotiation abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple claims and prioritize tasks effectively. 
• Professional certifications (ex. CPCU, AIC)
