About The Role & Team

We’re looking for a senior full stack product engineer to join the Experiment team within Amplitude. You will be part of a passionate group of engineers to help modern businesses transform their products through data and experimentation. As a senior product engineer, you will be responsible for building best-in-class end-to-end experiences that empower product teams to do their best work. So if you have a great mix of frontend and backend development experience, strong product thinking, and want to use your skills to help us redefine the future of product development, this will be the perfect role for you.

As a Senior Product Engineer on Experiment, you will:

  • Work across our entire stack using Typescript, React + Redux, CSS Modules, GraphQL, Node, Python, Postgres and MySQL.
  • Own the end-to-end product experience by taking new product ideas from conceptualization and implementation, through to launch.
  • Work closely with customers and use quantitative and qualitative data to truly understand the impact of your work and use it to iterate. 
  • Mentor other engineers in best practices, training them to have an outsized impact on the codebase.
  • Contribute to the technical direction of the team, product and systems.
  • Evangelize the work, sharing in large all-hands meetings changes proposed and measured success metrics.

 

You’ll be a great fit if you:

  • Have 5+ years of experience working in building robust, scalable fullstack applications.
  • Expertise in React, Redux and Node. Familiarity with Python.
  • Strong critical thinking and problem-solving mindset with attention to detail.
  • Thrive in a technical leadership role on an engineering team, and are constantly seeking opportunities to encourage those around you to excel.
  • Have a great understanding of current and emerging trends in web application development.
  • Constant desire to learn and grow in the field of web development.
  • Have experience managing CI/CD pipelines.
  • Strong practitioner of automated testing.
  • Bonus points if you have AB testing knowledge and prior experience working on internal or external AB testing products.
