Education & Events Coordinator
The Schwarzman Animal Medical Center seeks an experienced and highly organized Education and Events Coordinator to support the Usdan Institute for Animal Health Education. Working closely with the Director, the Education and Events Coordinator plays a key role in planning and executing monthly webinars, in-person events, and community outreach efforts, while contributing to the day-to-day operations of the Institute. This position is responsible for developing pet health education content, engaging the public, and coordinating with both internal teams and external partners.
The role requires a minimum of three days per week onsite, with some evening and weekend availability.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS
Education:
- Bachelor’s degree required
- Relevant fields may include public health education, event coordination, journalism, marketing, or related disciplines
Experience:
- 5–7 years of experience in event coordination, education, or a related field
- Experience in a veterinary, medical, or nonprofit setting preferred
Skills and Knowledge:
- Extensive experience with event and email marketing platforms (e.g., Glue Up, iContact, Mailchimp, SurveyMonkey)
- Strong knowledge of Zoom and other tools used for virtual event coordination
- Skilled in Microsoft Office, Canva, and Adobe InDesign
- Proficient in WordPress and basic content management systems
- Excellent writing, editing, and communication skills
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail
- Ability to juggle multiple projects and meet tight deadlines
- Video production experience desired
- Love of animals appreciated
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES
Virtual Event Coordination
- Work with the Director to plan and execute monthly webinars and other virtual educational events
- Build registration pages, create digital invitations, and manage all participant communications
- Draft event descriptions and coordinate approvals
- Oversee virtual Vet Camp
- Create promotional graphics and collaborate with Marketing
- Provide technical assistance to ensure smooth execution
- Coordinate the annual virtual One Health Conference for veterinary professionals, including speaker scheduling, CE tracking, and post-event follow-up
In-Person Educational Events & Community Outreach
- Plan and support in-person educational events
- Manage logistics, including permits and vendor coordination
- Manage setup, educational materials, and tabling
Content Development
- Research, write, and design pet health content for AMC’s website and social media
- Draft and send the Usdan Institute’s weekly pet health newsletter
- Maintain the Usdan webpage and waiting room slideshow
- Design and create educational handouts and print collateral
- Assist with AMC’s Ask the Vet podcast: research, guest coordination, proofreading
Administrative & Reporting
- Monitor and respond to emails sent to the Usdan Institute inbox
- Track attendance and engagement metrics
- Process invoices and maintain event records

Pay Range
$70,000 - $85,000 USD
