Position Details:
Position: Part-Time Occupational Therapist
Grade Levels: Kindergarten–5th Grade
Setting: Elementary School
Schedule: 4 days per week, 8:00 AM–3:30 PM
Weekly Hours: 28 hours per week
Setting: Onsite
Orientation: August 3–4, 2026
First Day of School: August 17, 2026
Last Day of School: May 28, 2027
Responsibilities:
Provide direct occupational therapy services to students in grades K–5
Support students in both resource and self-contained special education classrooms
Conduct evaluations and contribute to eligibility determinations
Develop and implement individualized treatment plans and therapy goals
Participate in IEP meetings and maintain required documentation
Collaborate with teachers, families, and multidisciplinary team members
Support students' fine motor development, sensory processing, self-care, classroom participation, and functional independence
Monitor student progress and adjust interventions to meet individual needs
Qualifications:
Active Illinois IDFPR Occupational Therapy license required
Previous school-based or pediatric experience preferred
Strong communication, collaboration, and organizational skills
Passion for supporting students with diverse learning and developmental needs
Compensation & Benefits:
Competitive hourly rate ranging from $45.00–$53.00 per hour
