The Opportunity

We're hiring a Product Manager to own and drive the strategic direction of our Space Management product line—a critical part of our workplace experience platform that helps organizations optimize how they use physical space in the hybrid work era. You'll own a strategic product line with direct business impact.

The Space Management PM Role in Our Strategy

As the Space Management Product Manager, you'll be at the intersection of all four strategic pillars:

  • Driving Integration Strategy: Expanding integrations with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Slack, IWMS platforms, and pioneering connections with smart building technologies, IoT sensors, and building management systems
  • Delivering Actionable Insights: Defining space utilization analytics, occupancy metrics, and ROI dashboards that help organizations optimize real estate investments
  • Building Intelligent Experiences: Applying our AI frameworks to create intelligent space recommendations, predictive booking, and context-aware workplace adjustments
  • Ensuring Seamless Adoption: Creating space management workflows that feel intuitive for both employees and facilities teams

What You'll Own

Product Strategy & Business Outcomes

  • Own the Space Management product line strategy, roadmap, and business results
  • Drive ARR growth through new customer acquisition, expansion, and retention
  • Define and track key product metrics and success indicators
  • Build business cases for major initiatives and investment decisions
  • Understand the competitive landscape and position Appspace effectively

Customer Discovery & Market Insight

  • Conduct customer discovery sessions to understand workplace and facilities management needs
  • Capture and synthesize Voice of Customer from multiple sources: platform usage data, feature requests, Customer Care and GTM insights
  • Validate product concepts and features with customers throughout the development lifecycle
  • Translate market trends (return-to-office, hybrid work, space optimization) into product opportunities

Roadmap & Prioritization

  • Develop and maintain a 12-month roadmap with clear outcomes and milestones
  • Create a thematic 24-month vision aligned with the company & product strategy
  • Apply structured prioritization frameworks to balance customer requests, technical debt, and strategic initiatives
  • Partner with Product Advisory Board and cross-functional stakeholders on roadmap alignment
  • Make informed trade-off decisions between competing priorities

Cross-Functional Leadership

  • Partner with Engineering to deliver feasible, scalable technical solutions
  • Collaborate with Product Design to define and refine user experiences
  • Lead an Associate Product Manager and Product Owner who support tactical execution and day-to-day operations
  • Collaborate with GTM teams on positioning, messaging, and go-to-market execution
  • Work with our Customer Success and Customer Care teams to understand Customer requests, support trends, and product issues
  • Engage Product Ops and PMO to ensure effective delivery and process adoption
  • Build strong relationships across global teams and time zones

Integration & Smart Building Strategy

  • Expand and enhance existing integrations with Microsoft 365, Google Workspace, Webex, Cisco, Slack, and other workplace platforms
  • Drive integration strategy with smart building technologies, IoT devices, and building management systems (BMS)
  • Identify emerging technologies in workplace management, including sensors, occupancy detection, location services, environmental controls, and building automation
  • Understand data flows, APIs, and technical architecture across integrated systems
  • Define future integration requirements that differentiate Appspace in the connected workplace ecosystem

AI & Insights Strategy for Space Management

  • Apply Appspace's AI frameworks to Space Management use cases—intelligent booking recommendations, predictive space optimization, automated adjustments based on patterns
  • Define analytics requirements that translate space data into actionable insights for facilities teams and leadership
  • Leverage our insights orchestration platform to deliver space utilization metrics, occupancy trends, and ROI calculations
  • Ensure Space Management and related integrations contribute data to the broader Appspace insights ecosystem
  • Drive AI-first design thinking into Space Management workflows, user experiences, and integrations

What You'll Need

Required Experience & Skills

  • 7+ years of product management experience in B2B SaaS or enterprise software
  • Domain expertise and demonstrated product experience in workplace technology, facilities management, space optimization, IWMS, or related fields
  • Technical depth in workplace integrations—understanding of APIs, Microsoft 365/Google Workspace ecosystems, and enterprise software architecture
  • Smart building technology knowledge—familiarity with IoT sensors, occupancy detection, BMS platforms, and connected building systems
  • AI and insights orientation—understanding of how AI/ML enhances product experiences and how data analytics drive business decisions
  • Customer-facing experience conducting discovery, running advisory boards, and building relationships with enterprise buyers
  • Strategic thinking with ability to build business cases and connect product decisions to business outcomes
  • Prioritization discipline and comfort making difficult trade-off decisions
  • Communication skills to articulate vision and strategy to diverse audiences (executives, engineers, customers)
  • Collaborative leadership style that builds trust across functions without relying on positional authority

Strongly Preferred

  • Knowledge of hybrid work trends, space utilization analytics, and workplace experience
  • Understanding of building automation protocols and IoT platforms
  • Background in smart building technologies, environmental sensors, or building management systems
  • Experience with product-led growth or expansion strategies
  • Understanding of modern product frameworks
  • Experience applying AI/ML to product features or leveraging analytics platforms
