The “Fine Print” – What You’ll Do

  • Design & Implement Data Platform: Develop an enterprise-wide data platform, including a Data Lake, MDM, Data Warehouse, and Analytics/Data Science platforms to drive Arcellx’s growth.
  • Integration Strategy: Standardize and manage middleware for seamless connections with MDM, CRM, ERP, and other business applications.
  • Data Lake Architecture: Define storage, ingestion, processing, and access layers, selecting optimal technologies.
  • Data Governance: Establish policies for data integrity, compliance, and quality monitoring.
  • Enterprise Data Architecture: Maintain data models, documentation, and reference architectures while enforcing best practices.
  • Information Architecture: Organize data logically, creating wireframes and navigation flows for application structure.
  • MDM Optimization: Collaborate with teams to refine MDM rules, improve data quality, and resolve issues.
  • Prototyping & Innovation: Develop prototypes and implement data management tools to enhance processes.
  • ML Infrastructure: Architect ML-ready Data Lakes and Warehouses to support data science initiatives.
  • SOPs & Training: Develop procedures and materials for technical processes, governance, and operations.
  • Vendor Alignment, Support & Issue Resolution: Establish support models to streamline troubleshooting and minimize downtime. Ensure third-party solutions comply with data architecture, governance, and integration standards.

Skills and Experience We Look For

  • Bachelor’s degree in computer science, IT, or related field.
  • 10+ years of IT experience in data management and analytics within the pharmaceutical or life sciences industry. 5+ years in cloud solution architecture, specializing in data architecture and engineering.
  • Experience with Data Lakehouse architecture and technologies like BigQuery, Databricks, Snowflake, and Synapse.
  • Proficient in SQL and familiar with SQL Server and PostgreSQL.
  • Knowledge of cloud platforms (AWS, Azure, Google Cloud) for managing data lakes.
  • Proven experience in Master Data Management (MDM) systems and integrating enterprise source systems (CRM, ERP).
  • Strong understanding of data governance principles, including data quality and compliance.
  • Familiarity with machine learning techniques is a plus.
  • Experience with commercial data providers (IQVIA, Symphony, etc.) is advantageous.
  • Strong knowledge of regulatory requirements, such as HIPAA and GDPR, related to data management in the pharmaceutical industry is preferred.

The base salary range for this position is $195,000 - $208,000 per year. Where a candidate falls within that range is determined by factors such as years of experience. Our compensation package also includes an annual bonus based on company goals and an equity (RSU) grant. We do offer relocation assistance for roles if required.
